You missed the patch 1.5 for Empire then. It was no miracle patch but it improved the AI also.
The vaniila AI in Shogun 2 is by far the most advanced in any TW to date. Course it still has glitches (some big ones from time to time) but the occurrence of those is acceptable.

During the last few MB's of the fairlight installer, I get "An error occured during installation!" and the installer stops working. Anybody know what I did wrong here? Same thing happens if I use Run as Administrator...

I ran into the same thing, fixed it by extracting both iso files then running the installer without having anything mounted.

DX 11 is scheduled to be released in the first week of May (2011).
No one will sell it so soon with 9 euros.

Wow that was fast. Wish they cared as much about Retribution and Homefront.

there is a patch apparently for empire 1.6 released april.. so steam updates are saying for ai changes. now my game runs through steam but its 1.5 build. updates are set to happen all the time. so whats this 1.6 about?
ok ignore that, patch5 is in the data folder i guess the versions didnt change on the screen for compat reasons.
