Finally saw the complete trailer... meh.
I'll download it anyway just to check out the SP and that's it.
For all it's derpness I would rather spend my money with Crysis 2.

Well at least there you can choose, plan and execute on how to take out your enemy.
Here there's none of that, it's either "follow me" or "follow the red wire". 
But I understand that this was the only way it could be done for this game, after all this series was never about the SP.
It was just very stupid of me to expect that this time they would try something a little different.

I love how people just throw derpness on everything now days. This a true sign of a generation of spoiled unappreciative douche bags. Your expectations are unrealistic and you should take into consideration that at a point where we are with technology that there are limitations to what you can do in video games. This gameplay trailer is fenominal considering this was a scripted gameplay trailer for the purpose of promoting the engine. So your expectations of course they are not going to be met. They have also stated that the single player portion is more to attract those that have never experience the battlefiled series. Consider it as the gateway drug to the multiplayer portion. Multiplayer is going to be hands down amazing do you really think they are going to drasticaly change a formula that works. Fuck no. But they have improved the shit out of what works and what doesn't to provide the experience you will get. Anyway enough ranting but you guys seriously need to bring it down a notch with all this baseless critisim with your anecdotal evidence. Save it for when you have gone and experience it for yourself. It is retarded to base your opinion on an experience you haven't tried for yourself. Not everyone enjoys the same experience and I recognize that but it's really only justified after trying it yourself.

You dont even know what my expectations are or if or how they are met. I dont even expect anything from this game.
How can someone say this is goty material just by the good looks it has. I mean Avatar didnt get an Oscar for best movie, now did it?
I didn't criticize the game itself btw.

the fear of this going to be derped down is based on the fact that all they have shown until today is heavily scripted and simplified gameplay for singleplayer and what they also stated in different interviews. What is your "expectation" for multiplayer based on?

Yep, the campaign looks like another COD (scripted/holding-hands shitty formula/movie style) just with much better graphics/physics. But I surely can expect MP to be very good, based on... all previous BF multiplayer components which have all of them been excellent AFAIK. That's called reputation.

And it seems everybody has jumped to the conclusion that this is how the game is going to be, despite being told that it is a mocked up level to showcase the engine. But people hear (or read) what they want to regardless. Who is to be classified 'derp' here, the game or the people writing it off so soon for no good reason? It has already been judged and disregarded in many peoples eyes. I'm disappointed, I expected a little more impartiality from some posters who profess to love games so much.
I will wait and see. It's no secret I'm waiting for this game, and everything I've seen so far has blown me away. All they need to do is make it play like BF2. And before y'all start slamming that this is impossible, there is no way to know otherwise at this early stage.
