Think of it as not contributing to Newell's donut fund - he'll live longer and you get more quality games!

I find this on another forum, seems to work!

\Portal 2\bin - Wrong ONE - Game will crash

\Portal 2\portal2\bin - RIGHT ONE - Game works PERFECT"

are you sure ? Very Happy

add me to the list of "everything works perfectly". I copied that entire crack folder into the Portal 2 (not portal2) folder. Left the file structure exactly the same as it was in the crack folder.

I edited the skidrow.ini file to change my name from "" to something else. And I had to start the game from the f'n command line (portal2.exe -w 1360 -h 768) since it defaulted to some resolution my monitor/tv doesn't support

Played through chapter 3 without a single problem.

Interesting "interactive trailer" for the Super 8 movie. Is Valve making a game for that and I've just never heard about it? Or is it just a promo for the flick on valve's part (seeing as how they have the url for the movie at the end of it)

Edit: Ugh, it took longer, but it crashed again

Had 3 crashes on 3 levels in 3 hours of gameplay. It's not that bad since there are checkpoints everywhere. I have the dll at the correct path, as in the dvd directory structure.

With all these "totally better experience than the first one" reviews maybe I was expecting too much. Until now, it look quite the same game. Levels are more detailed, but most of them could probably be loaded by the first game without any apparent difference...

Nah, just happy about the game. I didn't think it would be this good honestly. And yeah, I know who you're talking about since I've lurked for a while, and I'd say please don't associate me with him but then it would look even more like I was, so I won't... oh wait :\

I like that there are little rooms hidden throughout just like the first one. Just found one I missed on the first playthrough. The few I've seen so far are just like the first game. Graffiti on the walls. Artwork, some from the comic, math stuff, etc. One room is full of coffee cups (the one I missed). Just odd stuff like that. I bet there are more that I missed.

Yeah. I thought I fixed the crash problem but no. And I'm pretty damn sure that I followed the install info to the letter.

I mean, I have been doing this shit for 20 years, so I'm pretty confident in reading NFO files. Very Happy So maybe the nfo is written badly, if not... this is a first for me.

Okay, i found the solution myself. Open steamclient.dll with Notepad++ and search for skidrow, change the skidrow thing into another 7 char name and save it, after that you can play coop with a friend using the tunngle way with skidrow crack.

Constant crashing here, anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes every time (Win 7x64 Ult. w/GTX 460's) -

Updated drivers to 270.61 - still crashes
Blocked exe inbound and outbound via firewall - still crashes
Excluded game dir in AV program - still crashes
Disabled SLI - still crashes
Disabled Multicore rendering in game - still crashes

Done playing (and I got pretty far all things considered), until Skidrow gets their fucking shit together.

another 15 minutes absolutely perfect, no crash at all.
I have copied all files as indicated in the info, but copied also the steamclient.dll into Portal 2/Portal 2/bin directory and it works perfectly for the moment. Wait and see, it could still happen later.
very smooth gameplay, 60 fps all the time on max settings.
Fucking developers, this game is so good, now they make me miss HL2 so much ...^^"
