No crashes here, however this is only game I've ever felt bad about pirating -- the voice acting basically sold it to me. Ended up uninstalling and buying it via Steam. The quality in this game is just too amazing to not support it.

Played now a hour and no crash with my GTX 570 and newest whql driver, my friend who im playin with has every 30 mins a crash, hes using an Ati 4xxx card.
yeah, another 30 minutes without any crash at all, the game just rocks.
Very very funny comments from the robot and intelligent puzzles. I can understand why some people want to buy it, I think Valve deserves it.
I use previous version of Nvidia driver (GeForce 450).
Dumb fucking kids. If you aren't going to showup to class because you want to play a fuckin' game then just don't show up. This lying bullshit always irks me.
If I were the instructor I would have said fuck anyone that doesn't show up. The world doesn't revolve around kids having fun.
no wonder that many online reviews have given such high scores to Portal 2. woow, if Valve could make HL3 like that, I wouldn't be able to leave computer anymore.
Found about five of those rooms now, playing in commentary mode so it can't be saved or anything but I also discovered some of those comment bubbles can have their own issues.
It might seem empty but as with the other graffiti it seems tied a bit to the art in the comic and that speech bubble is emitting this strange extremely loud and irritating noise, unsure if there are other rooms as this last one is the only one I've found with a comment bubble in it.
EDIT: Those cups all have small messages or humorous jokes on them as well.
I hope this pice o' shit release doesn't crash for me too. It will be short adventure if it does.

just try the "steamclient.dll" trick, it should go. More, I didn't change video settings except for anti-aliasing, don't know if it could help or not.
What do you mean? Moving the steamclient.dll from the mainfolder to /Portal2/portal2/bin or what? Sounds like bullshit for me because it would be the first Steam game release that didnt have the steamclient.dll in the mainfolder.

Try this, it MIGHT work (didn't tested that long):
1. Copy the entire contents of the Skidrow folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Portal 2 (assuming you didn't change the default installation folder.
2. Now, to be sure, copy the two files client.dll and steam.dll from X:\SKIDROW\portal2\bin to C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Portal 2\portal2\bin.
3. Copy X:\SKIDROW\Steamclient.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Portal 2\bin
This makes the most sense, I tried it and got no crash for 20 minutes instead of a crash every 5-10 minutes, so it MIGHT work, at least give it a try.

Why am i getting this message when i try to start the game:
portal2.exe - Bad Image
C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Portal 2\Steamclient.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.
There is a large market for it though and obviously Valve is well aware of that seeing the TF2 store and how that worked out, I'm not much for MP though and this sort of visual customization isn't something I'm interested in either but there seems to be a large market for it as said.
As long as the DLC they're working on is free I suppose it's ok, you could say they funded it with the money from the store.
