Did u even watch any of the trailers for this game? Yes, there will be SP.

I did but I wasn't too convinced as to whether the game even needed a single-player campaign. When all the ones before it were multiplayer focused.
Seeing as it's pretty much all back to basics where this gen of consoles is concerned perhaps they feel a game would not sell without a single player portion nowadays?.
As fantastic as it looks, it reminds me too much of CoD with all those heavily scripted mock up set pieces.. thanks for clearing that up anyway Very Happy

some people only play sp and don't touch mp at all. so they have been ignoring a big part of the market with BF1942 and BF2. And they want to sell as many games as possible of course.
We haven't seen anything from MP yet, so for now we can only hope it's still good and they didn't neglect it...

I think we'll see a singleplayer part that looks and plays more or less like CoD. The multiplayer will probably be mostly like all other BF-games, which isn't a bad thing. The concept works well and I could just see small changes and tweaks playwise, but a huge upgrade graphicwise. I do not think they go CoD on us in multiplayer, BF has always been bigger maps with tanks, airplanes and shit, while CoD are more close combat on smaller maps. Both can co-exist because the playstyle are different.

You are right in that, Bad Company was made to be BF for consoles. Eventhough part 2, at least the multiplayer part trailed back toward BF2s style, smaller maps though. But I think BF3 will continue where BF2 left off, not where Bad Company 2 did. I at least hope so....

Yes that's what DICE is saying. Much more open than BC2 and more like BF2.

They said it's going to have the biggest maps of all BF games, and console restrictions do not apply to their design because they are going to ship a different set of maps for consoles.

Don't forget that BF2 had an option to downscale map size. Strike at Karkand had several size options as well as Sharqi Peninsula and others.

Yep, same thing for BF2142 which had different sizes and layouts for the same map according to max player count (24,32,64)

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

Germany FTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

.... I wanted to pre-order BF3 from the EA store, but I got this message:

Quote:

It says "The german law blah blah blah....germany sucks balls and won't allow you to buy this game from 6am to 11pm. You can only do it between 11pm-6am."
