omg... i was playing the challenge tower and when i hit level 40 i tought man, this is endless i hope theres 50 and im done.
then i went to this website to make sure how many of them that are only to find out there are 300 challenges!!!!

Still a few glitches, apparently, but seems to work for most people.
BTW, this works well. But don't replace the ps3toc.txt file blindly. I compared the differences, and saw that some stuff was different that should not have been, so I just copied the relevant change for coalesced.ini.
Made it to the 300th challenge (last one) in the tower.
Its basically a survival battle against goro, kintaro, mileena and shao kahn on hard difficulty.
So far around 30 tries, beating Goro and Kintaro is easy, Mileena gets tough and then Shao Kahn finishes me off.
I have to say its not as difficult as i expected the last challenge to be, its very exhausting but doable, Shao Khan´s healt bar is depleting more and more with each subsequent try .
damn sho khan in the story mod is cheap!! took me 4 hours to beet him.
I was about to lose it when i was fighting him, and also all the fights with "2 on 1" pissed me to no end...
I only managed to win by abusing raidens teleport and upercuting him into oblivion...
Ai in mk was always cheap (i wonder if this is homage to original series too)
Besides I'm total noob when it comes to fighting games. One game i was able to somewhat master was Marvel super heroes (CPS2 game) but i suppose that only reason was because this game was easy even on hardest difficulty setting.

Haha you guys are such MK noobs! xD This MK's Khan, Goro and Kintaro don't hold a candle to the originals (MK1, MK2 and MK3). I mean MK3 especially, Motaro is insanely annoying, and Kahn with his "quack" attacks. Here they are much more fair.
Hehe, i guess you're right, i remember i had tremendous problems finishing MK2 in arcade (Kintaro was an absolute end of line for me) i only did beat him in amiga version (scorpion and rope him to death) Shao Khan was no big deal in that version. MK1 was easy if you abused jump in jump out technique - worked for goro and shang tsung. As for MK3,
i never got to play it in arcade and i didn't own PC or console back then so it passed me.

BTW, only characters I trully hate in this MK are Kahn and Kintaro...Kahn is a fuckin spammer here and Kintaro looks annoying. I can live with Goro tho..

Goro and Kintaro were piece of cake, Shoa Khan on the other hand was a tough SOB.
Shao Kahn in this game can be cheesed with just about any character. Either you have a teleport which opens him when he uses his ranged or taunt (otherwise, time your jumps away) or you can spam with some ranged, but be careful of his counter ranged moves. With Smoke, Noob and Ermac it is practically very easy to cheese him to flawless victory even.
fuck the 29th challenge, that beam of light shit is wack... did it, but i took ages... don't like nighthawk either :/
