If they made FPS's "work" on consoles, anything is possible.

Actually, a console version could work pretty good for this and I don't have a problem with it unless it will affect the PC version in a bad way. HOWEVER... if the console version sells better than the PC version, the next one could end up being worse for PC players.

Its not like when they put RTS on consoles... cause that shit is just bad on gamepads.

What kind of wishful thinking is this? Very Happy

They work to the same extent FPS do on consoles. Slow down the gameplay and/or add assists and it's manageable but far from optimal.

I still don't see why anyone would want a Blizzard game on consoles. Blizzard always make their games run on pretty much anything.

Maybe the reason behind Blizzard only allowing a handful of skills to be used is due to the number of buttons on a console.............

Speculation's growing that Blizzard's long, long coming Diablo three-quel could make it out in 2011, as the developer reveals it's "in the home stretch" of development.

Speaking to the New York Times this week, Diablo III's game director Jay Wilson said: "We're definitely in the home stretch. We're crunching. This is when the magic happens."

Activision Blizzard went on record not too long ago that it's not ready to announce a release date for the PC RPG because it doesn't want to "disappoint" eager fans, or commit to a date and be forced to sacrifice on the game's quality to hit it.

That "we would never do," the publisher said in an investor call earlier this year.

In a year where we're finally (probably) going to see Duke Nukem Forever come out, it makes a lot of sense for Diablo to nail 2011 too.

There was already "confirmation" about beta starting before Blizzcon so i don't think they'll need more than a couple of months after that to release it. How much did they need for SC2?

A bit more formal here: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/09/diablo-3-external-beta-coming-q3-2011/

Quote:
"We began internal company-wide testing last week," Morhaime confirmed. "The game looks great, and we're currently targeting a Q3 launch for external beta testing."

Though Morhaime says the team's working to get the game out before 2012, he stopped short of making any official release date announcement. Surprise.

The 3rd quarter reference in the earning's call today was a calendar quarter, meaning that we're aiming to launch the Diablo III beta between July 1st and September 30th. Keep in mind that it's our current goal, and of course that can change as development continues.

...awesome...

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

The first gameplay video looked much better than that so I wouldn't worry about the graphics.
