I had seen an ad in a local mag. saying it was already available. And not a pre-order thingy, or available on the such and such (1 week or so from now), is there a possiblility of a SF protection thats holding the release up?

it could be since midway used starforce on psi-ops. either way i'll probably pick this up by the end of the week. it's only $30 and it looks like a decent fps.

well you can wait a long time since you are banned and deleted from the voting system.

I had seen the release date as 5/23/2005 and now this. 6/6/2005
I guess they overestimated this one.
It makes for a good week if everything gets released on time. We'll have
San Andreas & Area 51 in the same week.

[12:46:54] Trymedia ActiveMARK detected -> E:\Program Files\Midway Games\Area 51 Demo\A51.exe
I think it's some fileplanet-stuff, anyways no SF3 there so I doubt it will be in the final release.

Ok, i've just tried the demo :
I just played a few minutes, because this game was giving me nausea...
You can't adjust the mouse sensibility, so the handling is REALLY strange.
The screen is shaking too much when the character is running.
Add to this the fact that it seems that the camera is too "close" from the weapon, well it's strange to describe this but I felt really ill after a few minutes of play.
Good Idea + cool intro sequence + bad graphics and handling = waste of time.

no, talk about the protection of the demo can also be discussed in the Protection Bitch'n forum.
Deleted several posts.

tried the demo. just an ordinary console shooter. much better than project snowblind though. that was just a piece of crap that recycled the same levels for 50% of the game. the cool thing about games like this though is that you can easily max the graphics without worrying about low fps like boiling point.

i liked it although i think its time to update my comp now . it wasn't unplayable but just felt sluggish. was it like this for anyone else? because my controls seemed quite responsive and the animations smooth it just felt like it was running at 80% speed or whatever.
