Here's the first post:

+ Super Street Fighter 4, Fifa 11, L.A. Noire still work as normal. These are games I'm currently playing.
+ Non-JTAG things wont work anymore, even you reflash your console or not, these incredible things are completely gone for now.
3. As some rumors before, the xbox itself will reflash the DVD drive back to original ( everytimes it reboots, this is completely wrong because after the update, I reflashed with LT+ firmware then reboots my xbox about 10 times and the LT+ still there, no problem with it.
PS : I have Lite-on 93450c on Jasper v2 ( MFR date : 2009-11-09 ).
I don't have BenQ or Samsung Drives, so if anyone asks for information about these drives, please wait for other people who using these to report. |

Basically, in a tl;dr summary;
If you update today, the dashboard flashes your drive to the new FW. You WILL lose access to backups, but you can dump the key and reflash with any iXtreme FW just as before.
You need to dump the key from the new FW (Jungleflasher won't read it ATM) using a homebrew tool created by Nice69, then you can inject the key into LT1.x or LT+ then flash as normal.

im thinking though, if MS can patch the drive Firmware back to stock with a xbox live update, surely we can do this through a patch on usb or something.. save opening case etc and hooking up drive to sata and flashing?

This would be great and it is possible. M$ did that today. its enough proof to me
Ive been doing LT+ flashing myslef over ixtreme which Ive got installed by profcessional.
IT WAS A PAIN IN THE ASS. So the key I have saved on my hdd from last time flashing is useless now? I wouldnt be so sure. dvd drive is melted to mobo with that key. So update cant change a key of the drive .... ?
So if something new will came out, will we just need to install new LT+ (or whatever) using keys from our stock drive or redump the ket from "new" stock drive that update reverse?
I am all that concern becouse I dont know how to dump key from Liteon on Jasper. I had a key of my stock drive from the guy who did my Ixtreme. Only with that I was able to do LT+ myself.
btw. isnt it just possible to create a PERFECT image copy of the game disc? just to clone it so 360 would recognize it as normal disc? Why all the firmwares etc... Is there a physical protection on the disc that cant be ovestep?

So no need for reading the key again if I have my OFW key from year ago?
but it writes in the same place?
anyway: I am not going to bother with this new update until there will be a must have game and unsil c4eve solves that temp problem.
I am sure plenty of games wont have this protection yet. Maybe gears3 will bring it to live. DNF is proboably still in old format

nope
all executables are signed
this is why we can't run homebrew without jtag either
only way this could ever happen was if the signing keys were leaked from microsoft

open the side panel on the drive's side and look at the drive's side with a flashlight
there's either an orange or a yellow sticker on the drive
orange is 9504
yellow is 0225
if there's none, it's 9504 or hitachi

So updating reverts the xbox back to it's original state, so then in theory are our boxes unbanned and we can go back online?!?

Yeah sorry i worded that badly. Flashing our drives fw is what got us banned from online because we modified our boxes, ms re flashin the drives again revert them back to standard. I guess ms still wouldn't let us back online would they.
