Well CRAP, dusted off the old fat Derpbox360 for LA Noire only to find the stupid thing now returns a "Cannot Read Disc" error a few minutes after I put in any game. Any way to fix this thing, or is it time to just bite the bullet and buy a PS3 with OFW?

Reviewers get their copy one week in advance? Is that some kind of standard? No sarcasm bro, just wondering since you`re saying it all causal like.
However the chance`s of a reviewer leaking it is about 1:1000.
And by reviewer i mean a serious magazine/site/show.
But knowing how this usually goes, im pretty shure we`ll have a leak saturday at latest... I haven`t updated my LT tough. So im fucked if this uses AP 2.5

definitely not. It wont have the update. Remember kinect games? if you got the games early and installed the update you weren't able to go online. they wont release a game with an update which closes users out of xbl for 2 days. no way in hell. and the game went gold probably a LOT earlier. So I'll eat my own hat if it has the new update

If it actually plays the game then you know your firmware is ok. You may be able to get it working/half ass working with a pot adjustment.

That's Moda's calibration guide. If you don't trust the link go to google and search for "360 pot adjustment" or laser adjustment. Really easy to do.
