And I thought they were gonna end it on a cliffhanger, was very relieved to see that at least they ended it with some sense of closure.
Another well done but ultimately half-assed conclusion just like the final episodes of SG-1 and SGA.
At least SG-1 got its movies..
I will really miss SGU it was getting very good Crying or Very sad

just watched it again and damn, its so much better then i remembered. It was deep, complex, dark, gritty, science fiction at its finest. Yes, many had a problem with it and i think that was probably, because it was so close together (airing) with bsg. Having watched it now, without bsg next to it and its really a masterpiece and i'll never forgive syfy for having killed it (and they did, by moving its timeslot around over and over and finding it "not family enough"). Well, i hope someone picks it up again (they still have 1 and a half year of flight in the pods remaining, so who knows hehe).

Stargate CANNOT die like this. It simply cannot.

blind hate. idiots hated the show because it wanted to be like BSG.
Show was actually decent. It had a decent cast. Decent story. Wish it continued. Sad

S1 was shit and indeed too much BSG like, but S2 redeemed itself, tho it was already too late...

I don't hate it but it wasn't all that great at all. It was mediocre at best.

All that forced drama was unnecessary and pulled the show down the shitter. In the end it did seem to start focusing a bit on a real story, and it was interesting, but it was too late. Personally i can suffer through some teen drama quality bullshit just so that i can have more Stargate. It was just sad that they seemed to forget what made Stargate Stargate.

as someone who just rewatched it, s1 , albeit the weaker of the 2, is by no means "poop". It beats SG1's first 2 seasons and then some.

add: of course thats rather subjective, so ...

But for those who have mixed memories about this show (or heck, for those who liked it , of course as well !) give it another try and watch it now. Its a lot better then i already had it in memory. And its really sad at the end, since you have become so attached to the characters Sad

It might be a ok show in it's own, but as a real Stargate fan it's really hard to stay objective on this subject.

This show felt like it was made to drag in people who would call us nerds for watching scifi. Clearly it failed miserably. If it kept the classic Stargate style that we all love i can bet my left testicle that the show would still be running.

Dunno, s1 was weaker than s2. Stuff really became interesting in s2, sad that they ended it Sad

I couldnt get into it when it first aired, but I will have another look if it has an ending.

it had somewhat of an ending, yes. I think they call it a semi cliffhanger, tho. It certainly had an ending kinda feel to it. Sad

You really shouldn't bother. As far as the story part of the show goes you'll get pretty annoyed.

Just had a week marathon of SGU and I'm still mad they cancelled it. I fucking loved it, took the time to re-watch it since I mentioned it elsewhere and kind of got a response back that it wasn't as great as I remembered it was. But...

I liked it even more now, seeing what kind of drama and derp scifi we got nowadays and also better without the darn breaks in between. Overall it had 3 episodes that I thought were kind of meh but that's a good score compared to most shows.

Think tomorrow is the day they should wake up from hibernation (3 years ) wish they'd be able to bring it back, but I'm realist enough to know it wont and most likely the Stargate franchise is dead. Pity since I liked it.

But yeah... this is one of those cancellations that will never sit well for me, especially if you look what we got/get in its place. Syfy lol wut
