Just ordered a Xecutor3 CE and I'm going to get a xbox today.
Can someone recommend a few games please?
Also can anyone tell me how the xbox mame works. Do I need different roms from the PC's version of mame.
Also watching movies I've downloaded in various formats.
I'm not going to upgrade the hdd for a couple of weeks due to a payment cockup which has left me kinda short for the rest of the week.

hmm peo evo 4, time splitters future perfect, soul calibur 2. These are pretty much the only games i play on my xbox  . Some other pretty decent 1s too but i cba with em.

I've got that chip, it's excellent. Are you installing it yourself?
Games I recommend are : Jade empire, Fight night rd 2, Brothers in arms, mercenaries, fable.

As someone said, check out xbox-scene, especially the forums there.
There is an emulaters forum that will tell you all you need yto know in the stickies.
MamedOx works well, I am allways playing Mame games :Y

omg! you forgot splinter cell: chaos theory! blesphemy! 
you can add: super monkey ball deluxe, psychonauts, oddworld: strangers wrath, chronicals of riddick, doom 3, halo-games, gta-games, sw:kotor-games to your wish list jenni, on top of those animal said.
dont know what you are into...theres alot of car games and sports games as well. and of course ninja gaiden, if your into old-school-hardcore-action!

so what kind of games are you into then?
and yes, mame roms for pc works well on xbox as well.

well good games are quite an individual thing i would goto somewhere like ign and type in all reviews that scored over 9 that will throw up most of the top xbox games but there are some real good games scored 7s or 8s, youll just have to read about em.
Some of my favorites are voodoo vince,sphinx & cursed mummy, prince of persia's,halo's, sudeki,fable,psi ops,full spectrum warrior , the splinter cells, most top filght racers (all good on xbox imo) the list goes on and on i have finished over 50 ish titles since i brought my xbox over 3 years ago. and cannot wait for the 360.
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

i dont get why people mess with xbox chips anymore since UXE came out there's like 0 reason to use a chip never had a problem playing any backup on a UXE modded box. There's no more clock loop very very very little risk involved unless ur really retarded. Just seems like a waste of money to me

yep .. my mod cost me absolutely zilch ... uxe+nkpatcher10, with virtual eeprom and c ... noprobs with any games including gems like monkeyball (i even have that running from the HD aswell)
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

well go for sw:kotor I & II + jade empire + morrowind then. and crimson skies is a pretty fun flying game. not really a simulator, but still...

Playstation would be better for RPG's, although KOTOR and Jade Empire are good.

Well I got the chip. After a slight amount of screwing about as I couldn't get the 3.3v light to light up I got it working.
Quite easy tbh.

the xbox chips are byfar the easiest. especially since they took the drastic plunge from 29 wire to 12 or so solder spots.
