Both my disks (1 + 2) are ElCh33tah's versions. Disk 2 had the broken video partition, I used the fix from bavelb and ABGX reports it as stealthed and accurate. I've not burned them yet though.

If dvd 2 has broken video paration then the disc is not loading?

Apparently it will still work, but only on non-stealth FWs .. such as those below LT. LT has stealth and safety checks that will prohibit non-stealthed (something that happens if a disk has a broken partition) from loading. Using the Video partition fix it is now stealthed and will work fine.

So, I'm noticing that you can end up missing out on following up leads if you decide to visit other witnesses first, etc. Ie, In Marriage Made In Heaven, you can end up missing out on visiting the driver if you go elsewhere first ending the case. It sucks a bit, as far as I'm concerned the case wasn't closed and I intended to go visit him once I'd sorted out everything else.

Exactly. I had a few other cases end up the same way. I could re-visit those cases, but it means starting from scratch.

This is probably my only major complaint. It would be nice knowing that going down a certain route will end the case abruptly. Without playing it before, how am I supposed to know I need to go and see these people in a specific order?

same here - its weird how the cases can just finish suddenly, and you have a load of apparently important clues still in the notebook..obvious they had to rush complete a few of these and leave some stuff out.
the game is good but meh at the same time.

same here... installing the game didn't work either, says the disc is dirthy....
I waited for 2 hours, (maybe the box overheated), I started a new game, froze as soon as I started the first case.

It's not that the clues are leftover, it's most likely you didn't go to a certain witness first. Read the text along the bottom when you finish a case and it tells you how you let someone get away or could j=have nailed someone,etc
Maybe talking to your partner tells you where you should go next, i'll give thbat a try
