cool, but i think i would have killed someone if that happened. There must be a way to redo things if it happened? I know some old games can have really gamebreaking choices.

The Realms of Arkania (Das Schwarze Auge ruleset is a product of German sadism, so it was likely more prevalent here) were my first RPGs when I was a kid. Scarred me for life and damned me to be very picky with my RPGs. |
Star Trail was probably the first computer rpg I played aswell sometimes in the middle of the 90s and boy did I die alot. Don't think I ever managed to get far at all, but still it was quite fun.
Remember my first character, a demonologist who summoned a demon during the first battle. Sadly, I couldn't controll it so it went berserk and killed both the bandits and my whole party...

Don't remember if you could resurrect people, but if you could I'm pretty sure you would have to find a healer in a town or something like that.
It was really realistic in many way, you needed food to survive, a blanket would help against getting sick when camping outside and so on. Not to mention if you got stuck in a dungeon without a torch... Rather hardcore and unforgiving but still damn fun.

Remember I got Realms of arkadia 3 for free in a computer game magazine ages ago. I was like 13 years old and the game was so extremely difficult to play not only because of the huge amount of skills, items, rules and stats but also the combat itself was extremely difficult, I don't know how many times I've got killed during some encounters. However the game itself was pretty fun and I imagine i would be able to enjoy it a lot more at my current age.

So, the game patches and any DLC will come through the launcher and not in the form of separate files?

From what I read, once the game is fully installed, you'll be prompted to enter your CD-Key, and the updates will then download through the launcher.

I never played the first game. Does this one pick up a lot from the previous story? I just don't have 100 hours to start the first one right now. Thought about getting it a time or 2, but never did.

Not really - everything you need to know is explained in the prologue.
Also lol i wanted to get one of the early copies at the launch parties in Moscow but failed - i underestimated the number of people who want the game - i arrived like 30 min prior to the launch and there was a humongous queue outside, lol.

So any reports yet if you can set hotkeys for signs or do you have to use the radial menu to select them?

Neon (or somebody else who has the game), please try to max out all settings and tell us how it runs on your rig.
You have an Intel Core i5 750 2,66 GHz, GeForce 460 GTX 1 GB and 4 GB RAM, right?

He said that it runs with high settings @ 50-60 frames .
He should try some ultra settings .

He already said. It always stays between 50-60 FPS. As for the hotkeys, yes you can, you don't have to use the radial menu, but what I'm not sure is that in the configurator it says "Use -sign name here-", not "Select -sign name here-" which I wanted.
NZXT S340 ELITE : EVGA Z370 FTW / [ Intel i7 8086k @4.0Ghz ][ ASUS TUF RTX 3060 Ti 8GB ][ 16GB G.Skill Trident Z @3200mhz CL16 ][ 128GB Intel760p Series + 1TB Crucial MX500 + 3TB WD RED ][ Thermaltake Toughpower PF1 650W ]

He did. After he finished with the stream he maxed out the settings (apart from uber-sampling).

That's (Last bit of the post.) is a indication of the performance maybe.
(Said user used a ATI 4870 with a Core i5 2.x Ghz and 4 GB DDR3 RAM.)
EDIT: (I use a 4890 with 4 GB RAM and a C2D-Q 3.2 Ghz)
