Takes ten or so seconds to start, took longer (~30 perhaps.) with the SecuROM exe.
(Paul.dll or modified paul.dll seems to have made no real difference.)

Game is sitting on my hard-drive, dammit.Work today, birthday party right after (mine, happy BDay to me....) and work tomorrow all day.So I'll only be able to play this on Thursday.

If anyone played it on a similar configuration, would you say I can run this at 30+ FPS on Medium, 1920 X 1080? My system:

AMD Athlon II Quad Core @ 3.3GHZ
4 GB DDR3 RAM
Saphire HD 5670 1GB DDR5 Video Card
Win 7 64 bit.

Would it run good with UberSampling off? Is it time for a new Video card?

Wow, what a day... I got up earlier today morning than always to buy this game, went to shop and asked about it, spent there about 30 min just to be informed that it didnt arrive yet, thanks to this i was late for work for nothing.
After work I visited another shop, bought the game and headed back to home. And guess what happened, a fuckin CRC error. Again to the shop to replace my faulty copy, stood in line for about half an hour just to be told that manager is absent today so he cannot check if there's indeed something wrong so I need to go there again tommorow. FUCK THIS SHIT!!! This is how it is if you want to do something right, I fuckin lost all day and gas money worth another game... I'm not going to buy another game in a looooooong time if ever.

Those screenshots are gorgeous JB. This game really is something to feast your eyes on.

What does your hardware look like mate? Saw your cfg posted but when I get to the city square in chapter 1 my performance drops to 12-14fps with it :/

That one has no effect as such and should be avoided altogether, it's the
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Witcher 2\Config
User.ini you want to fine tune. Smile

EDIT:

Code:

[Engine]
CustomRenderingSettings=0
PerformancePlatform=1

[Input]
KeyboardLayout=QWERTY

[MouseInput]
SensitivityX=0.5
SensitivityY=0.5
Smoothness=1

[Rendering]
AllowAntialias=1
AllowBloom=1
AllowBlur=1
AllowCutsceneDOF=0
AllowDOF=1
AllowDecals=1.0
AllowMotionBlur=0
AllowRain=1
AllowSSAO=1
AllowScatterDOF=0
AllowShafts=1
AllowSharpen=1
AllowVignette=1
AtlasTextureDownscale=0
DanglesLimiter=0
DetailTextureDownscale=0
Fullscreen=1
MaxAtlasTextureSize=2048
MaxCubeShadowCount=1
MaxCubeShadowSize=256
MaxSpotShadowCount=3
MaxSpotShadowSize=512
MaxTextureSize=2048
MeshDistanceScale=0.5
ShadowQuality=0
ShadowedLights=0
TextureDownscale=0
TextureMemoryBudget=400
UberSampling=0
VSync=0

(Bin\Config user.ini, unaltered, used as a preset for when you set your own options and save it.)

EDIT: My hardware is a 4890 Vapor-X 2GB (Sapphire.) along with a Intel QX6850 (3.2 currently, don't clock well but it's not necessary due to decent normal speed.) and with 4GB DDR3 1600 RAM (1800 technically but with that lowered and timings reduced instead.)

Everything on (With the custom user.ini posted, and quoted a page back or so, earlier, sort of disables Ubersampling instead of just trying to tone it down unfortunately from what I recently discovered.)

Performance during the prologue part was around 35 - 45 which is OK for a RPG plus it looks pretty damn good so I sacrificed a bit of FPS for visual quality.

During chapter 1 however it's ~35 on average or so which is pretty close to the 30 FPS limit I decided to try and maintain if possible.
(The GPU is aged and the CPU is ineffective aside from it's default speed and being a quad core, four years nearly and it's starting to show, RAM is OK but first-generation hi-voltage DDR3 so a bit ineffective.)

If it is ****, then how people who have original GoG game have same exe as skidrow patched game???

because the gog and the skidrow is the same and the patch is not air for the gog version

why is the russion only patch 400 mb ? look to the patch notes in the russian patch! i see nothing about missing files, i see nothing about broken files. i see the same patch notes like the european patch notes

cd project had this say before a release. when you actived your legit copy then you must go online and download a file to play a game, and this is the activiated patch what skidrow put in the release.

GoG support says on their forums that their game is already fully patched.

Also, many game files got patched, not just a few protection related binaries. lots of patched files in CookedPC folder, which are pretty much only gameplay related.

Game is fricking astounding, everything is as good as I ever could hope for.

Expect a really challenging game at high difficulty, I'm currently at a fight where I'm about to just go back to an older savegame and just keep working on subquests due to it's difficulty

Well, I guess you'll find that out later on in the game.

So far for me on hard:

All in all, the game is excellent so far, too bad combat is so shallow and clumsy. Dodge, hit-hit, dodge ad nauseam. This game deserver combat at least as good as Risen, but fell very, very short.
