i don't understand why it's taking so long :/ the russian has already 2 patches also if there is a new patch will you need to restart the game to apply the fixes ? or can you just keep on playing?

Okay, I apologize... this is still totally confusing. Here is the deal. It seems that this 28mb patch really is just an activation patch. I just couldn't believe that CDPR is stupid enough to fuck this up. Apparently the people who bought the retail version, except for russians, are the only ones who aren't able to get the (about) 400mb patch which fixes and changes alot of things. Only the GoG/Steam/Rus Versions are patched... WTF!?

And for the Servers. I'm in Germany and the Launcher is connecting without problems. Scratch Head

hey i can confirm that the gog release also doesn't have the day 1 patch yet it has the same exe version of the skidrow release ... the same with a collectors edition from poland (confirmed on site gog)

So only Russ now? I would understand if the Polish guys get it first, but Russia? WTF?!

So there is Steam left. Someone with Steam version who had to load an 400MB patch? Anyone can confirm?

The only two things so far that are annoying me about this game are that you have to meditate to drink potions and the horrible shadows I seem to be getting. Game runs fine on my 5870 on high but the shadows look kind of pixelated and look like thousands of tiny dots rather than a solid shadow. Really breaking the immersion in cutscenes for me The potions thing I can kind of understand but from a gameplay perspective its a bit crap because we don't always know when we are going to be in combat. Many times I have taken a couple of potions to find out that the next 10 minutes of the game are me just talking to someone and the potion was a waste, then after the potion wears off I get attacked and have no chance to drink again until that's over. I think they changed it from the way Witcher 1 worked to try and make it more tactical and having to choose the right moments to gulp down a potion. If I could change the way potions worked and maybe turn off shadows completely until they are fixed then I really would struggle to find fault with this game.

Does anyone know how to correctly map the up/down arrow keys for use in movement? I can get the left/right ok by editing the ini file but something is already mapped to up/down and it keeps defaulting back to whatever that is. Obviously this does not show up on the configurator. I am editing the correct part of the ini file as I said the left/right is fine. Ta

Steam version was confirmed to be fully up to date by one of Vavlve's employees. That's why they got the build very late.

Yeah, Steam got 1.0.6.50... we got 1.0.6.41... WTF is CDPR doing? The changelog lists alot of fixes which sound awesome. Especially the tweaks for the menus...

i think the day-1 patch was intentional, it's a good way to make sure people who wants a good (/better) experience are buying the game.. it was actually one of the reasons why i decided to buy it, i really hate waiting for the scene to release cracked updates (which is something they don't always do, take Shogun2 for example they dont seem to care at all for it even though its a big title).

Steam is .50 due to using a different build (Steamworks and all that.) or so I would guess, retail editions are at .41 or what it was and Russian version is something other I assume due to being pretty buggy upon release (Had two patches.) It matters little though since a new patch will be out in a few days to correct further problems from what I read on the GoG forums. (I've had no issues whatsoever aside from a likely memory leak causing the game to exit without warning or any other message but I think I can solve that.)

Why are you getting so worked up over build numbers? The only change in those exes is probably the DRM itself. Build numbers are usually reserved for minute changes. Asus, B550, 3700X, 3060, 32GB.
