been playing this all day . absolutely shits on any game came out this year
the fucking thing looks amazing even with the texture downscaling on low if i put it on None it gets stupid stuttering . anyone got anything to help with this no biggie though

I killed it in 3 minutes .
Use YRDEN sign to place traps where the tentacles land, after that you go and cut them .

I have not attempted but you can craft specific items against it which might help.
(Iron frame if you managed to steal it, receipt from that elf Cervix, Cedric or what his name was and some other components, haven't found the silver fragment required for that and the robust silver sword recipe either though and the sword is more important as those fukkers err nekkers are difficult as hell when they swarm you.)

The best game of it's kind, period. Finally a game has topped Gothic 2, that's a huge statement. I'm willing to bet this game has set the standard for the coming five years. Everything about it shows love, the attention to detail is extreme. It has more charm in it's pinky than any other action RPG.
I only played four hours or so, I haven't seen a single bug. I'm really glad I bought my HD5850 in time, this shit looks amazing and runs without a single lag. It has more decision moments in four hours than other RPGs as a whole. Now if only Skyrim rocks too, I'll be proud to call myself a gamer again.

Act III
Have had 3 crashes thus far. Otherwise, everything has worked smoothly.
Here's a spoiler (hints) about some difficult stuff in Act II:

If you're at a standstill in Act II, go to the canteen (where the trinket-salesman sits) and approach the old man with the son practicing the sword outside. That will unlock a chunk of stuff that will lead you on.
Finding the Kingslayer can be accomplished by paying a lot of attention during the necromancing of the dead assassin. The conversation is not a bug, Geralt is saying the name of the potion he needs to do the necromancy.
Focus on the mage in the fight with the mercenaries at "Vermont" (or whatever the town is called now again). Once he teleports out of the barrier, go for the "support" first, and the lead merc last.

Armors have slots for enhancement. Some have none, some have three.. Once those slots are filled, that's that - you can't undo it.

Check the armour as it's equipped, look for small slots next to the armour piece or weapon -- those signify how many, if any, enhancements you can apply. Enhancements cannot be removed once applied, so choose carefully.

BUY THE FUCKING GAME IF YOU'RE TOO IMPATIENT TO WAIT. It would certainly be a lot faster for you.. and a lot less aggravating for everyone else.

1. Is close to the brothel tent, just head to a small dead-end path into the mountain
2. You find at the end of Act II, a female talking troll
3. You find short after, the boyfriend of the female troll
