Yeah fuck you and your fucking newbies tech who can't even make a proper service pack without corrupting the Windows Installer service and thus preventing me to install or uninstall any applications who use it.
And also fuck you for not making Windows Installer 5.0 for Win7 downloadable on your site. You have every other fucking version but not 5.0 ?. Brillant. Quite a few people encountered the same problem as me after a failed SP1 installation and we have to do a fresh install of Windows to correct the problem because none of the fucking fixes work. Now if we could only download Win Installer 5.0 and reinstall it it would fix the problem but nooo because you douchebags can't see farther than the tip of your nose.

I tried both
For some reason System Restore didn't work and there was no option in the repair menu other than repair system on startup and a couple of others who were not related to the issues. There was Restore PC from backup but the dude didn't have a backup so i was pretty much fucked.
Still , it wouldn't be hard to make Windows Installer 5.0 avalaible for download. It would have fixed the issue in an instant.

Windows Update offered pre-SP1-install-updates from the start. Are you running a cracked copy?

my cracked win7 had to install tons of updates before sp1. then after sp1 tons more of updates. Not all went smoothly. Had to reboot multiple times before it stopped updating. Just ridiculous on how many updates MS requires.

When SP1 was released I took my Win7 DVD and slipstreamed SP1 onto it. Smooth as ice cream.

Installing SP1 does not require any previously installed patches. That's ridiculous. That's the point of a service pack. It does not, however, include some optional updates which are deemed not not necessary or involve a certain risk, which are available in WU.
This issue sounds like a corrupt registry, which is probably a software's fault.
And of course, @ macfags who have to pay for every SP their idiot company releases.

Well, most new "versions" of OS X are nothing but glorified service packs, but apple charges for them annually.

Fuck off.
I probably know more than you do you snoobish prick. Because it's my fucking fault if the auto installation via windows update failed ? Yeah right... I have made dozens and dozens of installation and PC reparations.
Please tell me genius how do you install a service pack other than 1) Windwos Update 2) standalone package , 3) a slipstream on a DVD ? Go ahead i'm waiting
Go hump Bill Gates or something
