I'm stuck, talked with everyone on the map ( Roche Camp not dwarwen ) got some quests to find some bloody items to get into the mist, searched the entire map, cant find them .
Help ?

I got him killed by telling him the amulet was magical so he abandoned his armor and after finding the body and retrieving the thing it says -10% to armor.
Anyway I found a witch/alchemist in the outskirts of the Flotsam village, one of the traders there marked on your map, often inside her house but also often outdoors tending to the gardens.
Either conclude the quest then and there by selling the amulet or inquire and offer to help to fully repair the thing, haven't progressed further than that myself yet however.

Yes.
I found the reason for the performance difference. It's because of CPU usage. On my Phenom II X4 955 Black (4x3.2 GHz) the usage with retail .exe is ~50%, while with GOG .exe it's only ~40%. This is also the reason why I don't get any more FPS with GOG .exe. Simply because GPU is my bottleneck, not CPU. So, those of you who report big FPS gains, you probably have good GPU's, but slower CPUs. If you also have Nvidia cards and haven't upgaded to beta drivers yet, you should do this, becuase they help in CPU bottleneck situations. |
Same with me, got a quad @ 3ghz and no performance improvement (besides improved initial game loading time). poor hd 4850 is sweating like a bitch though  |

Can you guys spoiler some of your comments please? A lot is on the border, but some posts have bbig spoilers in them. Might seem insignificant once you've seen it in teh game, but it's pretty big when one hasn't come to that point yet.

| Spoiler: | Dunno what path you took, but Dethmold gave me an armor so I could pass through the mist and on the other side I found all the items. Saiska simply gave the sword, took the spearhead from the dwarf and got the standard from the crypts. |

Skidrow -> GOG unprotected: 5-15 more fps (usually around 10). Awesome

Yes, they are not named that in-game though.
Roche Jacket = Blue Stripes Combat Jacket
Magical Suit = Mage's Trousers (you also get a bunch of runes I think)

So far I have yet to see someone playing with Ubersampling on. What kind of machine one needs for that anyway. With Ubersampling=2 I get 20+ fps, while with Ubersampling=1 i get 70. Can anyone confirm is even works with =1 setting? The game is stunning as it is though, so no biggie...
i7 6700k @ 4.4 GHZ, 2060s, 16 GB RAM, SSD, Windows 10x64.

Well, the thing is, the FPS increases (goes over 50) with less stuff going on on screen - say if I look at a less populated area in that same camp. And yet even if I set it to low spec and 800x600 I don't even hit 40 FPS facing the main view just outside the tent. CPU loads remain at about 60-70% (task manager shows the witcher process itself never even reaching 50).
In any case I have a Q9505 @3.4, hardly high-end, but it wasn't much of a bottleneck before...

Is it possoble to unlock a "Finisher Pack"? The problem is that it is just a 0 byte "finishers.dlc" file.

Also, the other DLC are named (original names): alchemy_suit.dlc, merchant.dlc
If anyone has those, I can make them usable for everyone like the other DLC.
