I found it after beating the Arachas. |

Spoiler: |
On a skeleton near a rock, just found it myself.
(Though in terms of pure damage it's inferior to the superior sword aside from the little bonus at 1% to critical/fatal damage.)

EDIT: Ups, tags.

Quite moderately pathetic to be asking for game support when pirating.

Is the unprotected GOG version somehow better than the Skidrow release?
Can you use the unprotected exe with the Skidrow release?

Thx @ JB and Dakiller.
@mike
I did that. There wasn't anything. Maybe I had a glitch or something. I hope it's there this time.

I don't see any performance improvements but it reduced loading times to just a few seconds instead of half a minute for start-up.
(I own the GoG version but used Skidrow's release on the clone PL/Eng version first before it had been released.)
EDIT: Keep looking and explore the whole area M3th0d (It's not exactly right next to said create but it's down there to the left a little and somewhat back towards the forest again.), Z to highlight nearby objects is very useful.

And the exe is enough for better loading times or do you need the whole GOG release?

It seems to be a similar technique to GTA4's shadow "smoothing". The difference here is, on consoles at the low resolution they run on and all the blur, it might actually look serviceable, while here it isn't good at all.

I am sure this has been asked before, but what are the choices the game takes for you if you dont import a savegame from the first game?
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Really? Can't remember the NPCs to look THAT strange when I tried the game on a HD4870. But I didn't really play much. Anyways, I hope that gets fixed fast, the game would look so much better with normal shadows. Thanks for your answer.

I'm about to start my first game - what's the insane difficulty like? is the only difference between difficulties that geralts swords deal less damage and the enemy's health increases to ridiculous amounts?
Can I change the difficulty while playing? (dont want to have to restart for my first playthrough)

On insane it's game over when you die. That's the most important difference.
