Well i just have to add my 2 peneth.I got bored of GT4 very quickly...some old shit as the other 3.were as forza has got me considering throwing a sicky so i can stay at home an play.I really dont know how anyone can say the gfx are shite...some of the road textures look real.I think people that dont like this game are gonna be the ones that shouldnt really be playing it anyway, they'de be better off slamming into lamposts on dub or nfsu. This game is for true racers that care about which line they take through corners and adjusting there braking points each time round the same corner just to shave off that extra 10th of a sec.Im so hyped about the xbox live side of this game,I just love seeing my name up in lights as one of the fastest drivers but im not very good at setting up cars so i think the downloadable setups side of things is an awesome feature. Finally something differant..................

Well i've just spent about 2 hours with the career mode and it's brilliant. I've just this moment finished pre-ordering this baby, and the day its out i'll own it.
The game is brilliant, and I must add, to all people worrying it'll be too hard for them, i believed this also, specially after the demo. However this just isn't the case. I'm sure you know this, but you can choose different options to increase the difficulty, and each of these increase the percentage reward for winning a race - making the game as easy or difficult as you wish. I think I increased CPU difficulty and a few other options and instead of getting the generic 3000 credits for a race, I was getting about 3800, which is cool. That was still with ABS and traction, and the driving/braking line on too!
You progress through levels, you win your first race and then enter level one, and with the more credits you win, you increase through the levels... I got to about level 4/5 after a hour of playing and that was with pretty much coming first in each race.
When you begin, you get to choose a area to work with, and a car from that area. I choose Europe and the Audi TT and the car model looks brilliant. If you choose Europe, it's harder to get cars which are made in America or Asia, and I like this feature too.
When you first play there aren't an aweful lot of races to play but unlocking competitions (made up of around 3 races) on either the point to point section or the general circuit section unlock more and more, and you can choose the route you take.
The graphics on the game really are brilliant, and with a small blur effect the level of realism really comes alive, in my opininon the game pushes the xbox with no tearing or slowdowns at all. Definately the best driving game graphicly.
Sound is also amazing. When I played a bit of Systemlink with my mate we found ourselves gigling when we choose a F1 car - it sounded lovely - really, it's got to be heard. On the note of systemlink, it's great fun. You don't just get points for WINNING, as some times the cars are unfairly matched and one is at a great advantage. Just as with single player, you get extra points for your cars rarity, so if you pull out a mini cooper and race it against a suped up Audi TT, and then loose, you'll still find yourself only a few points out from the winner (depending on whether you made a good drive!).
The only disapointing aspect I have found so far is that the game doesn't support split-screen systemlink, meaning it's not possible to have four people play on two xboxs - something I found disapointing but quite expected really. And when you comparing the multiplayer aspects of this one to the likes of GT4, you see that even with this small issue, Forza kicks the shit out of GT4.
I can't say i've played alot of GT4, and therefore I dont think it'd be fair to say Forza is better, however, if it isn't, GT4 really must be one HELL of a game, because believe me, Forza is the best there is on the xbox, full stop.
Even if you're not a driving game fan, give this one a go, you may be suprised by it - and if you find the Career too difficult, the game's definately worth it just for the Arcade section which is alot easier and more interesting in the short term.
Overall, I recommend you all buy this one, the devlopers really deserve the support, it's a brilliant game, highly recommended.

just played for 2 races in arcade mode, and i cannot believe how dissapointing this is ... the graphics are shit (be honest), though replays look ok... how can a machine with 3 times (supposedly) the rendering power of a ps2 fail so miserably in comparison to gt4
maybe the game is really good , but i have to get past the shitty graphics first
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

I'm having problems starting the game from HDD ... I get a black screen and then my XBOX freezes ... I have correctly set the time and date, cleared E:\Cache & deactivated IGR, but to no avail ... and I tried with two dashboards (Avalaunch & EvoX), but no luck ...
Any ideas what it might be?
I have a ver 1.6 XBOX with Alladin ModChip

This is the best looking racing game on the xbox. Gt4 doesn't even come close, not even in it's semi 1080i mode.
Have any of you guys complaining about the graphics even played this game????

level 10 now, still not upgraded anything yet, just using the cars that you win.
Game reminds me of rallisport challange for some reason, maybe the powerslides. Still its the best xbox racing game ever, but i still prefer GT4.

Could anyone answer this: Why can´t you paint the aftermarket-parts manufacturer decals? It´s seen in screenshots that it is possible.
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

When I get the game in a few moments, I will then come back and give the definitive answer on if this game sucks. I know you are all waiting patiently for my 2 cents, so I will try to be quick about it.....hahahahahahaha
I really hope this a good racing game. Race Driver 2 really kicked my ass, and ended up pissing me off more then anything.

About GFX:
Forza vs GT4
+ more detailed tracks. The tracks feels more alive.
+ skidmarks (yes i WANT skidmarks in a racing game)
+ damage to cars
- Somewhat blurry GFX that makes the overall look of the game a little less pleasent on the eye.
- The cars look a little less detailed because of the blurry gfx when in fact they probably aren't.
- The cars looks a little bit more plastic then GT4.
- 30 FPS against GT4's 60 FPS
On a little sidenote the audio is by FAR better in GT4 when it comes to "being there". I just LOVE the sound of the wind in GT4. Overall GT4 is better at putting the player IN the car. Forza don't take much account to bumpy roads. Nurburgring for an example is almost undrivable with a GT car at over 200mph in GT4 because of the bumpy road (as it should be).
Does anybody know why most Xbox games are a little blurry compared to PS2 games ? GT3/4 & Metal Gear Solid 2/3 for an example are crisp as hell.

A TV show is run at 30 FPS. As long as it doesn't slow down alot, and is steady, It will be good for me.

I guess it does have something to do with the PAL output, because even the speed dial looks like an egg and its a nice circle on the screenshots. Hmmm. I'll have to wait for the US release and compare.
The cars on screenshots I've seen didnt seem this thin as well.

I feel the same bro..i played GT4 to death as well. The Cars, Tracks, etc are much better in Forza then what GT4 has to offer.
Honestly..this game overall is much better then GT4.

Saying that GT4 doesn't even come close is the most retarded fanboy post I have seen in quite some time.
Do you even know the meaning of "not even close"?
