Yup, I was meaning to do a thread earlier but kinda forgot; it does look like a nice little game and the previews have been positive.

too bad the developers wanted to make this feel too much old-school.

with that art.. monster animations would've been sick!! Sad

Atari is using a new anti-piracy system called "Hide and Seek®". You cant crack the game if you can't find it.

Seriously though, a large amount of potential customers are unable to find the game anywhere. Seems that a digital download version will not be available for another month, and only a few select stores received only a few boxed copies.

Sad

I'm gonna go with: Wrong topic.

D&D:Daggerdale, the one you're looking for?

Anyway, read about this on the Ragec0dex a couple of days ago and looking forward to it.

The release date for the game depends on distributor(s) and we’re keeping quiet on that ’til we get a go-ahead. To clarify a bit: We have an internal development schedule which we’re quite happy about and then we have a release schedule which, well, we’ll let you know.

Looking at the calendar, May is looking a good bit less likely, isn’t it. I think our official line is now “Summer 2011″, but I’m hoping to release the game as soon as possible — and I think we’re in a state where just a little crunch to do some real polish, fixing, and a few UI & content upgrades will get us out the door.

As for cost: “under $10″.

A reply to my question about release date and price on the gaslampgames blog.

It looks good. Only thing I am not hugely keen on is the character portraits. Will def buy it at $4.99 though, as Sabin says that's an epic price.

I like these sort of games usually, but this particular game's art style put me off unfortunately.

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a nice and relatively newbie friendly roguelike (check out the tutorials ingame) with tiles graphic

Powder also a tile-based roguelike

Desktop Dungeons is a roguelike puzzle game and always fun for a quick 10-15min game, they'll sell an updated version in the future but the alpha version stays free

+1

Dunno why, but aside from the graphical style, I get a very Castle of the Winds-esque feel from this. I hope it lives up.

Need to beg those 5 bucks from someone but I don't care. I want this.

On another note, today I bought Solar 2 on steam and it's a hell lot of fun. Give the demo a spin. And the game is only 8.99€ on Steam.
