Tried some different bios and settings with no luck, it's wierd that only a few experience this problem?
Anyone got a solution?

Same here still, have tried it from both HDD and DVD-R, same result.

Since it's a PAL-release I would assume it would work on a PAL Xbox.. buhu

and as for reviews giving forza a perfect 10 ... now that's retarded

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

Edit: yes it was 1.4 here too.
Could you please post your settings too, TSR, IGR, video modes, game region also?

Have you actually played GT4 then? You've probably only seen the photo mode screenshots of GT4, the game doesn't look anything like that.

Forza looks so much better, the only downside is.....30 fps Smile

Works for me too with NeoDashX, how bizzare, thanks for help. Game however from 30min play seems a bit disapointing. Instead of wasting time rendering very nice off-track scenery(sp?) they should have used the xbox's power for nicer car models. IMHO compared to GT4 they look shitty and cartoonistic (probley no such word but u know what i mean).

Plus what annoys me the most from my limited play; the steering feels very unrealistic and heavy (maybe its just the rsx type s) . The car seems to have no roll or sideways motion to it. After u stop turning the car adjusts way to quickly into a solid straight line. Not sure if anyone else notices it, but compared to GT4 it seems unnatural.

Will deffinetly give it another whirl though, but maybe i got to caught up in the hype, i really wanted it to be a GT4 beater but i dont think it's got what it takes.

"for the masses" as opposed to what ???
Forza is for the elite ??? Very Happy

i still can't understand how an Xbox game can be 10 times worse looking than a Ps2 one Rolling Eyes

I have played pretty much every car racing game on any system from Geoff Cramonds original Formula 1 on the PC in like the 90's (great game) right upto this game so i have played and finished a lot of racing games, and after finishing the amatuer levels these are my moans about this game, i feel at this point of the game that the cars oversteer and understeer and some time 4 wheel slide to easily, for instance i was racing silverstone in the honda S2000 Mugen and it was sliding all over the place through maggots, becketts & chapel, then club was a nightmare as was stow so i upgraded all chassis, brakes, tyres and suspension to top racing spec but left the engine standard so in other words it should do them corners like its on rails ,however it didnt it still slew and slid around a lot on the fast and slow corners and not as the real counterparts would, the one other thing that is annoying is when a car just taps u or u tap them your car goes crazy all over the road (ever seen the bumping and rubbing on touring car) and touch one wheel on the grass and it drags u off the course(one or two wheels on the grass doesnt do that), these are all my gripes dont get me wrong i can live with all these things and enjoy the game and i do love the game, i just feel these things have been over done, there real counterparts do not act in this way. apart from these things the game is perfect, i am just going to start the profesional series so maybe things may change there.

As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

GT4 is a game for the masses, every version of the game has sold a lot of copies. Sony would be pretty foolish to turn that game into a sim, that is simply not what people want. People will believe it's realistic just because the box says 'the real driving simulator'.

Forza is much more realistic. Try locking your brakes in GT4, it's not even possible. Try doing donuts in GT4, not possible. I could go on forever...

I have an interesting problem with the game. It plays fine, it's when I want to stop playing that it acts weird.

I'm using a Xbox 1.6 NTSC with a UDE2 Softmod.

Anyway, the problem is this; typically, when you eject the disc after you're done playing, it usually stops and goes back to xbmc where I can put another disc in and play a different game. Forza decides to not stop when I eject the disc; I will still have the game screen, though it will freeze (sound included) after about 5 seconds. I have to close the disc drive, and reopen it to get it to realize that I'm 'quitting' the game. This doesn't happen with any other games, only Forza.

My only explanation right now is that it's a PAL release and I'm playing it on an NTSC xbox, but I don't think that's the problem.

I also just got a DDE on ejecting the game and my xbox froze.

have you clicked multiplayer because this game does support system link up to eight xboxes, and spilt screen. maybe your playing a different version than me.
as for everyone having trouble getting this game to work, its works great for me from dvd and hard drive.

as per the other site Smile

Yea.. i agree. I actually own a s2000, and i can tell you a 90mph powerslide is not easy.. espiacally as you can just hold it so easy on almost all the courner.

The handling model is a bit pants.. i find it so easy to drift everycouner. GT4 is much much more relistic, escipally the s2000 handling.

the grass pull is correct, as and s2000 and may other cars have LSD and when one wheel looses grip in a straight line it tends to do nasty things..

My biggest gripe is the contrast.. the sky is bright and the tracks are too dark, you can hardly see where you are going at all..

Also people have been going on about the damage.. and it makes you drive correctly.. Bollocks.. you can still bounce of cars round courners with no real damage..

its fun to read all the different approaches of "slamming" forza.
"mohahaha,its 30fps instead of 60like gt4,it means it sucks".
"the graphics sucks, much better in gt4", etc etc.
is it a coincidence that every mong is using pathetic comments, then compare it to gt4 ?
have any of you actually played both ? or have some of you seen the forza screens and compared them to the image enhance modus pictures from gt4 ?...

the gt4 graphics are a bit more colorfull,to put it that way,it may look nice, but not that realistic.
same goes for the cars, way to shiny.
i spent a shitload of time polishing my car, somehow it didnt shine half as much as the gt4 cars.

my point of view (after actually having played both), i prefer forza

there's no blur effect in GT4 as far as i can tell
Forza looks like TopGear on N64 in some aspects

yeah, Forza has good points, GT4 has good points, i got both and prefer GT4 at the moment.

Its deffo something to do with the way Forza looks though, and even the handling seems to arcade like for a sim

forza should have been called tomys my first racing sim.

the handling is questionable, the ai cars dont even seem to be aware of ur presence on the track they just swerve into u when you've got better line which as someone already said leaves u sideways and pressing restart (i fking hate restarting).

i think it has some good points but not enough, gt4 is better. Try driving the tracks that they share (tsukuba, nurburgring, laguna seca) on both games - gt4 is the winner for me

i have to admit i am not bothered which looks the nicest but what i am bothered about is the handling of the car u are driving and i will give another example i drove the hot hatch 4 wheeled drive cars subaru and evo's tuned up chassis and suspensions etc... and at 80 mph in curves not corners it was power sliding from one side of the track to the other and i can tell u that these 4 wheel drive cars will go onto 2 wheels and flip over onto there roof before they slide at that sort of speed on that sort of corner, i have yet to see any car go onto 2 wheels becasue the mechanical grip on lots of the featuresd cars is so good that we should be seeing lots of cars on 3 and 2 wheels through corners before they slide anywhere.

Yes I have so please don't make yourself look stupid. Yes, it supports split screen multiplayer, but doesnt support split screen within systemlink, just as I said.
