Has anyone else had dirty disc errors? I'm trying to run the game on HDD but I still get dirty disc errors all the time. The usually hangs after few seconds when starting the game, but sometimes I'm able to go to browse menus but then it always hangs all of a sudden. I've tried clearing E:\CACHE and changing the video region. Someone please help.
edit: IGR is disabled.

what dash.. i found that uleashX casused me loads of DDE problems.. now i use avalauch to Qwix stuff across.. no more problems.

I'm using xbmc. I also tried to run it on Evox but still the same thing. This is the first game that has dirty disc errors when playing on HDD. Could this have something to do with bios? My bios is Xecuter 4981.06.

was that becasue u ran over a rumble strip at high speed and it pushed the car onto 2 wheels? i have also done that but i am talking about going around corners not hitting any run off strips etc.. and getting the mechanical grip of the tyres and chassis to lift the car up as in real life with most high performance cars due to stiff springs, roll bars etc.. I have just done many laps round maple race track in the clio v6 and i may as well been in the flintsones car on ice it was awful , sliding all over the place , this is just so far from reality its bordering on crazy, it would seem microsoft feel that by making a game unrewarding in the corners and having to feather the brakes and throttle constanly even in a straight line that equates to a racing simulation.i think they got this very wrong and the car physics in the last toca where more realistic than this, i actually feel very sorry for saying this as my heart is in racing games and expected this to be so much more than just a difficult to drive car game there should be a great feeling when taking corners at high speed through the apex and with this game it isnt there u slide over 50% to much, i was sliding the clio v6 with fully race modded chassis/suspension/tryes at 40mph & on the straight there is the slightest kink and i was doing around 100 and again a big slide:( unrealistic!!! the testers and programmers have balls'ed up a great opertunity imo. 
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

I did hit the strips, and I agree with all of your points. Microsoft really dropped the ball on proper physics in this game. The cars slide way to much!! I also think Toca 2 is the better game. |

yea.. update your bios.. 5031 is out now.. and clear your cache..

i have to say anybody who owns gt4 and forza and thinks the graphics in forza are better than gt4 ... get your eyes checked ..now

Just flashed my bios but still DDE. I cleared cache again but still the same thing:( Tried to burn the game but that didnt help either. Im so confused. How come nobody else has had DDEs with this game. Please help me, I want play this game so desperately.

actually gfx is really nice and sometimes not as nice. take uphill race for example, it looks really damn nice. and then compare it to blue montain. talk about difference.
overall the game looks way more than good enough for me. have no complaints about the gfx.

if they were allegedly judging by graphics why did Forza win over GT4 when everyone says GT4 looks better? AHA!!
this game is much better than gt4 in my eyes, more of a structured game than a test drive dvd
but people sometimes like things that others dont... (ebays GT4)

i agree... and i also agree with what you have said... i think forza is a more rounded experience while GT4 conecentrates on aspects most gamers will notice e.g. putting most effort into car details and less on trackside details....
however, this means that when you really take a look at GT4 it's not as good a looker as you think... that's how I felt anyway... when I took a step back and examined things in the game..

You lot crack me up with the it doesn't feel like your driving the real thing....its a game ffs get a life.There's not one driving game out there that feels like your driving the real thing and if you think there is then you need a shrink.....all i care about is does it play well not if the car i am driving acts like the real thing...and i can honestly say this game looks great and plays great and yes i do have gt4 and i like it a lot but this game just kicks it to the sidelines

Actually, GT4 (or any game in the Gt series) have more realistic handling (forza is incredible arcade when it comes to handling), some cars in GT4 handles extremely close to it's real-life version.
I cant judge all the cars since I haven't driven all  I'm juding the cars I have driven, like the volvo 240 in GT4 or the golf gti, they handle very realistic, and far more realistic than I ever though was possible.
I tried forza at a friend so I'm not just talking out of my ass here
The drifting/powersliding that so many complain about is what I also found very unrealistic, very fun, but very unrealistic. There were no problems at all to get the car to drift/powerslide, I didn't even have to do much for it to happen, it just happened and I went smoothy through the corners as if I was some powerslide god......
Many things are better in forza compared to GT4, but handling is not one of them, not from a realistic point of view.

yeah done a few engine swaps a couple of corvette's and a lancer i think, and for the skyline it says some 1's first and second name at the botton of the door panel will have a look when i get home from work. the acc on that skyline is amazing its 10 and for speed is 9.2 i think!!

how do i turn off the greed/red/yellow light (the one that guided you through your driving ) , it bugs me , i don't feel like playing in a race sim , i feel like a kid that tried to draw withoud exiting the line .

well when i play a stage the first time i tun it on to see the exact braking distants etc... so it's cool to learn... anyways, go to your "Difficulty" option it's all there plus you get extra points by turning these off
