I'm not ashamed to admit that I'll probably play the fuck out of this! Maybe they crack the patch by the time I get back home from work?

The "SP" packs as they're called (Item additions.) and actual expansions bundle both Windows and Mac updates which take up the majority of those discs (dual-dvd on the later ones.) I guess a rip with the patches in proper order would cut down the size to those 16 - 18 GB plus of course what the patches take. Smile

Another 2GB for the compiled store items as well.

Recently started playing trough this seriously, funny to see the thread appear just as that happened but the game is still very active, it's uncertain how Medieval will be supported but there's two rumored expansions or maybe just packs for Sims 3 at least and likely further DLC store additions.

Compared to older sims games, so far the expansion-flood is rather poor for S3. Wonder if the enthusiasm for the series died down.

My biggest complaint is that the life stages have always been out of whack in terms of time. I wish there was a way to mod them into more realistic ratios, but I don't think anyone has ever found a way to do that.

Every expansion includes the latest patches for every previous ones. So if you just go in order and install this last, you'll get the most up to date version. Only need updating if a patch comes out before the next expansion.

thanks mate!

also anyone got those old custom clothes and hairstyles cracked/working? I think they are very old from the original game.

Remember that they didn't work with the expansions at all..

There is a certain forum moreawesomethanyou

Grab all the files since the launch 'till now. Avoid the packages: those are custom made packs made by modders. You need the sims3packs files and s3rc-win.rar or Compressorizer1.0.zip

Code:
http://forum.jfade.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=473

a guide of how to decrapify the sims3packs for making them work with the latest Expansion/Stuff Pack

P.S.: a Sims 3: Towns Life Stuff Pack seems to be scheduled for a 26th of July release (amazon canada).

stay cool, it's very easy in fact. First, you install The Sims 3 Razor1911 version and then all expansions set one by one, in the mean time the application will ask you to update the game. Finally you just have to crack the exe only after the last expansion (Sims 3 Generations here) and you can play.

Thanks Sertorius but managed to install them all after Zmed explained 3-4 days ago. And I even found a torrent with all the store packs till May that actually work with the cracked version of the game and the latest expansion. Very Happy

you are welcome. Many goodies in the Generations expansion, even if you haven't kids in your family yet, many interactions have been added, especially when you are in a group.

From Generations onwards only one patch is required to update the entire series. no more downloading 999 patches for each separate expansion / stuff pack.
