the US is nowhere near as good as the uk 1 though. example: take the "fort of pencils" scene. he lays pencils around the office ... wow hilarious.

UK version: stacks folders up really high, calls his office and calls him a cock and walks away, leaving him to talk to himself.

the characters in the yank version aren't as good either and they're just replaying some scenes in the english version but trying to fit it into 21 mins instead of 29.

A bit biased to the UK, eh?

Well... my fav series is only 2. I havent really watched much TV as most of it is crap.

Highlander the Series and Macgyver. Thats bout it. None really interest me. Oh, and I like King Of The Hill.

biased yes but if it was better i'd admit it. It's just obvious that there isn't a slim gap where u could fall on the line. the UK just takes it 20 steps further and elaborates the jokes a lot more.

ah yes seinfeld, i totally forgot about that show, this would be definetly in my top5. Remember the ep there kramer bought a cheap air condition and they get lost in that big parking lot, hilarious Laughing, or the ep there they waited the whole ep to be seated in that restaurant, really a great show Smile

You know, at first I was going to boycott the US version, thinking that it would be a cheap knockoff and would ruin what made the UK one great.

I think the Ricky Gervais/Steve Caroll boss character is done well in both, and he's the one that really makes the show. I do like the UK versions of Gareth/Tim characters better than their US counterparts Jim/Dwight ... but for a show that I thought would be absolute rubbish (as I believe you UKers say), the US version turned out quite alright. Well ... alright except in the ratings that is...

Yes i admit the boss is pretty good, but the rest of the characters suck. mackenzie crook is so hilarious and if u watch some of the deleted scenes it's great Smile the episode with the hot girl or whatever u wanna call it (think its the latest) was such a bore, so many starbucks jokes so little laughs.
