Did they ever fix the bug in the FTP part of Multiman..? If you don't get it you won't know what I'm talking about. Let me explain....
Was using Multiman as my primary manager. Got several updates back in the day all working fine. Loaded another one around the end of April (I think) and it busted the FTP access. Well, FTP would work but when trying to access the PS3 from my client I would get an error and basically it wouldn't show any of the folders on the HDD. I had to switch to Rogero to fix this problem and since then I've completely uninstalled Multiman. I even tried this to fix the FTP issue, no luck.
I would rather switch back but until I'm sure this issue won't affect my PS3 I won't.
I use FTP all the time so this feature is a must to be working.
I wish I could remember the error I got using Flash FXP. I tried google and a few searches came up to those that had the same problem but offered no solution to it. I think it must be something on my PS3 because everyone would be having the same problem. I'm running 3.55CFW if it matters from Kneaw.

Just saw this at my friends house and it looks like ass. But gameplay is not that bad, bit generic but not bad.

I think i had the same problem like you, when i used FlashFXP.
I switched to Filezilla and it works without problems. To make it work with FlashFXP you had to change something in it, but can't remember what it was. Something with active mode i think.

The game is quite fun for what it is. It looks better than the first one - sharper textures and better character models, definitely. Also, the environment seems to be more open for destruction - not total destruction, perhaps, but throwing grenades on those shacks in the first village (or whatever it is) definitely ruins them in a very pleasant way. I wonder if latter parts of the game will have this level of environment interaction too.

Beyond the improved graphics and the melee attacks, it's really similar to the first one, but the level design its not that good. The way the electrified lines are disposed, its hard to navigate the city. I've just started with the game, but that's the first thing i noticed.

Nope, the new 1.01 patch makes the game 3.60 again. Sony have now fixed their patching stuff, upcoming patches are now 3.60 -- not 3.50/3.55. Even existing games like Killzone 3 are now 3.60.
Sony are nothing more than fucking criminals.

What is the standard procedure for replacing an eboot.bin?
1. Download Game
2. Copy game to external hdd
3. Copy game from external hdd to internal hdd
4. Use FTP to replace the eboot.bin on the copy of the game on the internal hdd
5. ????
6. Profit!

You don't need to copy from external to internal (unless you WANT to, of course) for EBOOT modding to work. You can even replace the EBOOT directly in Windows if you want, just make a backup of the original then put the EBOOT mod into the USRDIR folder.

It only took me 4hrs to resolve the problem but I got it fixed. It's not Flash FXP but how FXP communicates with multiman using the FTP file system. After going into FXP and switching it to use DIRECT MODE instead of PASV MODE and turning off the - list command it now connects and I can dump files, delete and move without any errors. Shouldn't have had to do this. It worked perfectly fine in earlier versions released around late March and early April. Sometime around mid April I grabbed an update and BAM!!!! no more FTP. I'm glad I fixed this shit because I was real close to formatting my PS3 Drive and rebuilding it.
This problem is known on google but no one posted any information in one thread about how to fix it. I got the information from several threads and putting all the information together plus trying this and that setting I was finally able to get the damn thing to connect.
I like Rogero but MultiMan has way more features and seems to be the best manager available. Now Dean has added emulators which I'm aching to try.
I also had an issue with it not detecting my GAMES folder on my PS3 HDD. Rogero fucked it up by renaming it GAMES_BAK. WTF is this???? So I fixed this issue by renaming the folder to GAMEZ and restarted the system several times. Now my games will show up in the list.
Got Imfamous 2 loaded this morning and played a little before coming to work. Loaded perfectly with the eboot fix. I like it so far but I wonder if it will get old like the first one.
Do you need to finish the first game in order to understand events in this one...?
Or is the first game not needed. I think I'm on the second island in the first and there are three islands...I think. So I still have a ways to go but I find it so boring to continue unless I'm desperate to finish playing it.

How is the gameplay quality in this compared to the first. As i stated earlier in this thread i found the first game to be a bit too simple.

gameplay is the same basically, but with new additions...at first you only fight the milita (same as the dudes in infamous1), then monsters, then ice super soldiers (which produces rather interesting fights), plus somewhere through the game you get to choose between 2 sorts of powers you can add to your abilities. the climbing, sadly, is sometimes bugged and kinda shitty (was ok back then in part 1, but meanwhile AC2 and uncharted 2 were released, which kinda spoiled me in terms of climbing)...you "stick" to some things too much, instead of the nice flow you get in the aforementioned games.
overall a good game...the story does its job, the environments are done well, AI doesn't suck (except for some nutters who shoot you point blank with an RPG) and the graphics are a bit behind on the times (jaggies everywhere, outdated textures), but as long as you don't stand still and look around, they're fine.

Major question, is the frame rate stable? The first game's performance was arsed. Has this been rectified?

it is, but obviously they simply made a trade with the gfx.
/edit: just finished it, bit on the short side (~15 hours including doing a big part of the side missions and getting every shard i came across).

what about the graphics? the game looks stunning! very beautiful game for sandbox.
i think infamous 2 and rdr are the best looking sandbox games, at least for me, alot more beautiful then gta 4. to me infamous 2 is one of the best games ever.. awesome game!
