So where do I go to learn how to get this game going? I got the latest version of Multiman installed.

You simply copy the included eboot.bin from the crack dir to PS3_GAME\USRDIR replacing the original. Thats it.

I have a small request for people who have a back up of the US version. I'm missing one of the cutscene file:

Code:
BCUS98125\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\movies\cutscene\splash_europe.bik.

Can someone please upload this file separately on Mediafire and PM me the link? It might be around 10-15MB in size. I would really appreciate it.

EDIT: Got the file. Thank you Gobass and NFOPAC. Smile

When i first launched the game ( after replacing the eboot ) it asked me to update to 1.01, so i agreed. Unfortunately it would appear that the updated version requires 3.60 since it asked me to update my fw. Does anyone know if the patch actually brings anything useful or if there's a method of bypassing the 3.60 requirement ?

Currently playing it without the patch and with internet connection disabled.

you are actually using the 1.01 executable which is how we got it working since we got it from the 1.01 debug updates. If you want a full 1.01 version, just install the official 1.01 update, and remove the EBOOT.BIN from the update folder (hdd0/game/BCUSXXXX/USRDIR), so it will use the one from the game folder instead, which is in fact the 1.01 executable that works with 3.55 + other files the updates install !

I tried the demo of the first one and dunno...sort of...didn't like it that much. HOWEVER, with the "welcome back" program Laughing I understand that it's the best game to take so maybe I'll give it another try before totally ruling it out.

Finally finished it as an evil knievel Smile The evil ending was a bit sad Sad
Like i already said, it is a really great and fun game, that gets better the more you progress. I did all the sidemission and collected most of the shards and birds i came across. Have a playtime of about 15-20 hours i think.
I wanted to see the good ending too, but for that i need to go from infamous to good karma at the final mission Surprised

Is it even possible ? Increasing my "nice guy" rating seems so hard on it's own, while taking advantage of the "nice guy" missions and all of that stuff. I'd imagine it'd insane to attempt going from infamous just by doing side quests like healing and what not.

@aevis
I read on the gamefaqs forum about a trick to increase your good karma. Just hurt people and then heal them. But still it takes a bit of time going from the highest evil karma to good Surprised

I never thought I'll ever post in this area but I feel the urge to ask a question.
Visited a friend last day who was playing it and he showed me the game quite abit.
Was kinda boring and repetitive. Laughing

Well... to my question..

Were there also mutants/monsters and choppers in Infamous 1, ?
Because if not, they surely took some stuff from Prototype. Which isn't bad though. Radical should borrow some gimmicks from Infamous for Prototype 2 too.

I just completed it and it was a big dissapointment all throughout the game.
I loved the first one but this sequel just didnt live up to my expectations.
First of all the graphics are from infamous 1 which is dated a few years back so immediately you notice how crappy it looks then you expect to have all this powers from the first but they simply suck untill you upgrade ofcourse but what i didnt notice in the first one was the empty streets, few cars just an empty world with boring quests and the same shit all over again, getting blast shards and upgrading your powers it just felt redundant and i didnt complete 1 sidequest.

Also who the fuck had the great idea to change the powering up off area's from the mysteryious and dark underground sewer levels to a redundant and boring shooting of some kind of electrical charge around the map and just holding out till its charged up throwing hordes of enemys at you, it just didnt make a lot of sense and i hated it.

The ending was such a big anti climax that i regret ever playing it.

Bye bye sucker punch now go and make something interesting again.

i think the GF are realy good, textures look nice and clean, the shadows and dynamic light effects are good etc (especially when the "fireworks" start). Game looks less jagged than first one, its like some AA was applied or smt. So the GF are 8.8/10 at least. The car's look like crap tho.
Tired of these unreal 3 engine shitcrap fucked up visuals and its nice to c some good gf engine for a while that isnt all shit brown and bloom with crap pop up textures.

and its less repetitive in some way than the first one, there are more different type's of side quest but yes... most of them are about shooting and shocking enemy's etc. The first one's had only few different side quests. This time its less repetitive. + user added content seems nice idea (y)

And about the power removal -> think about it... if you had all the power's from the first game you would be really over powered. I finished the 1 rst one on hard difficulty and I had the power meter over half my screen and nothing could touch me because I had all the upgrades and most of the shards. So the first level of the game would have to be pretty hard or for some "mystical" reason the enemy's would have to have a really good tolerance for electricity (they should take shit loads of hits before they die so basically it would feel that the regular enemy's of the 2nd game are as powerful as the most strongest enemy's of the 1rst game.) They needed to take your poweres to start a "new game" in a new city where there are regular enemy's. Not city thats terrorised by super mutants or human militia that dont give a fuck that they are attacked by super human with lightning that should fry everything on its path. Even now the npc take shit loads of volts sometimes to die (like the first game).

At least they show you the classic "power removal". You fought the boss and you lost. All your powers are trained and its time to get some new toys to play with. It's done all the time... god of war, gothic, withcer 2, etc.

This far i like the game... I just unlocked all the first island. It seems that they took the 1rst game and upgraded it. Changed and tweaked it. It still has its challenge factor that the first game had

at least its more interesting and challenging than assassins creed crap

I've finished the game a while ago. Liked it quite a lot, more than the first one (which I've also finished), to be honest.

Graphics-wise it looks WAY better than its predecessor. Sharper textures, better shaders, better character models and a city design that actually consists of something more than gray and brown. Less jaggies, too. Finally, last but not least - the good thing about it, is that while it looks better, it also delivers a steady, smooth framerate, without the irritating drops plaguing the first game.

Gameplay is more varied, partly because missions are more diverse, and partly because there's simply more stuff to do. Also, different parts of the city have a uniqe feel now, it's not just more of the same, as it was in the first game. Wheter it's flooded suburbs or an industrial themed area full of factories and magazines, it just feels different and fresh. More diversity was also added to enemies (not just different gangs now - you've got monsters, militia punks and even some tesla-styled ice warriors etc) and character advancement - more powers and more choices in how you develop (and use) them.

Story-wise it's pretty much your standard comic-book. There are some pretty fun characters and one or two quite predictable turns, but overall it's pretty entertaining. Also, Player's choices have more meaning now, since there are completely different main-story missions depending on your karma and choice.

All-in-all, it's probably the best super-hero sandbox up to date. I've had tons of fun with it and will quite probably return at a later date, to try a different karma aproach.
