Thanks Consolitis and others who chimed in about the brightness DX11 issue. I ended up creating a shortcut on the desktop, holding right shift and it worked first try! Thanks P33ps!

I'm noticing some AI problems that I hope are fixed in the final version.

1. Killed a guy in a bathroom with the door closed. His 3 friends walked in saying "who did this?" even though I was standing over the body while holding a pistol.

2. In the police station there's an office with two cops talking, I was in a crawlspace and opened the vent. One of the cops said "what was that?" and walked up to the vent but just stood there. It looked weird...I think he should've at least bent down and looked inside, or closed the vent.

I couldn't wait any longer for a retail and too have tried Deus Ex leaked demo. I like it a lot so far, played about half an hour. One thing I must complain about is lips syncing, it's very noticable in cutscene dialogues. I hope devs will improve on that. Also I'm not fan of that yellow-ish filter, I hope you can turn it off, or edit in config. If not, it's no game breaker for me.

Other than that I really enjoyed it.

If only Mass Effect would play like this Smile

I'm afraid that's a Deus Ex trademark Very Happy I've been replaying the first Deus Ex since yesterday and I noticed that inmediately, but it's secondary to the awesomeness of the game Smile

So? Developers should try to make their games better in all areas, not stagnate because other games had the same problem.

Aw man, finished it.

As for the end boss, I took him down on deus ex difficulty easily...after like 10 tries Cool Face

Stun gun+ 3 remote bombs + stun gun again + 25 rounds from rifle straight to the face ( had to go back for it, good thing items don't disappear )

First and only kill Smile

I absolutely LOVED the exploration, and did not finish a mission or level without finding most if not all routes and secrets.

Hope you have the jump augmentation as there are a few places you can't get to without it Smile Not necessary to finish but you can get some OK goodies to use/sell.

The only thing counting against SS2, whilst being in DX1's favour, is the expansive exploration. SS2 was huge, but it was set on a very cramped space craft - and it showed. DX1 at least gave the semblance of an expansive world with nooks and crannies to explore.

HOWEVER! There is one thing DX1 absolutely wins on against DX3; soundtrack. The soundtrack in DX3 is functional and it fits the mood, but nothing really stands out except for the radio station ... and that's because it uses DX1 music.

Cool Face

And? Your point?

well if you like music composed on a casio then it's excellent, i don't, imo something like this creates a way better atmosphere than anything from the DX soundtrack

and i was just being nice and didn't want to say that DX's sountrack is pretty shitty (and it fucking is)

moving on..

E3 video even though on xcocks didnt look better, maybe some shaders where sharper but still no real improvement, not that i mind, as long as they fix some glitches it'll be awesome

Not sure about the burst addon but the addon that computes target lead for the crossbow or tranq gun is activated by pressing Z. Maybe you have to activate burst mode? Click on the weapon and pick examine and it should tell you if there is an activation key

Once you attach it to the shotgun it's always active, keep the fire button pressed and you'll see

since there's been so much talk of it, for shits and giggles i fiddled with enbseries a bit and compensated for the piss filter for a more neutral look
 Spoiler:

my favorite the last one.. very blade runner without the piss
unfortunately enb is so slow that its unplayable, and it adds a slight blur effect

I definitely prefer the black/gold to that fuzzy shit.

Still, I would probably prefer each level to have its own unique color scheme, rather than drenching everything in this "theme-ish" golden age thing.

It's not necessary to pull off a unique look, to my mind - and gameplay is key.

Those prints with ENB look good, but it makes the game looks upscaled.

Post the ini values for that last one, would be fun to tinker with though yeah it'll cause a framerate hit even with minimal effects enabled.

I'm usually a big fan of ENBseries and while I'm not overly keen on the gold tint in DX3... I have to say; I prefer it to the washed out and muggy blue tint.

That last shot IS awesome. I wish the game used that color palette instead. Sad

I think my issue with the black/gold is that EVERYTHING is drenched in it. I can't figure out why they didn't just use it for the UI/HUD - and introduced more variety in the actual levels.

Still, the gameplay is fantastic - so it's not a biggie to me.

But with none of the blur. I hope a proper mod of sorts would come out, although I don't really dislike the gold palette that much in the first place.

Like I said before; I hope EM (or in this case, Nixes) do release a mod kit... but if not, at least I hope someone can release a new packer/unpacker for the bigfile's so we can modify stuff. Expect a music mod and a colour mod Very Happy

Just set it like this. Disables everything, except bloom.

Exactly. From "piss filter", shole's ENB settings look like "piss sun glasses with vaseline smeared on the eyes filter". Laughing
