It's not from the creators of EU, EU was made by Paradox Interactive whereas this was made by AGEOD. PI is only the publisher.
It's like saying Mass Effect is from the creators of Burnout just because both were published by EA.

Been playing the demo. Never got into the AGEOD games, but ill give this one a good spin. Turns take alot of time, so I sure hope the AI is worth it...

Do we really need another grand strategy game franchise, made by the same guys (Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Victoria, now this)?

Did you read the thread, especially my post (the second post in the thread)?
This game was NOT made by the guys who made Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron or Victoria. These three games are real-time whereas this game is turn-based.
Also, if you don't like it don't play it. IMHO we can never have enough grand-strategy games.

I know it's turn based, it still looks pretty similar. And the fact that Paradox is the publisher and AGEOD (aka Paradox France) is the developer makes me think the gamplay will be heavily influenced by those franchises.
I'm really tired of this everyday bullshit on this forum, calling someone or what he said retarded, when you don't know the background of what he said.
And no, I don't want another FPS, I want something completely different and fresh, goddamnit

The game is in development since 2005 (or even earlier), while AGEOD was acquired by PI in 2009.

A) Its only $20
B) We need as many devs like this as we can
C) Yes I find the comment "Do we really need another grand strategy game franchise" one of the most stupid I have ever head on this forum.
Anyways about the game
-The colony mode itself has more depth than.. <insert any game ever here>
-The entire game is farrrr more complex than any other world game I have played.. makes victoria look like a console game tbh
- Turn based.. which is new to me..
- Turns take a long time .. this game will take a LONGGG time to play..... |
Nice trolling there. That's not what I said. Do you often repeat yourself, to reassure yourself? I think this can be treated.

Tried to play this one, installed skidrow release and everything in game lags like it's running at 3 FPS. There are very noticeable and annoying delays after clicking GUI buttons, upon scrolling game basically halts for a few seconds, etc.
Anybody having the same problem ?
