can u play coop lan ? with the reloaded rls

I would like to know this as well.

I managed to make the local play work using a generic controller (emulator) for 2nd player and mouse and keyboard for myself. Like sabin said a few pages back....it uses steamworks for online and LAN play and once u try to switch the game to a Private or Public match it crashes out of the game.

It would be nice if someone would manage to bypass this limitation since multi feels nice... from the 5 minutes I've tried it.

Well, gave it a try and it's not as bad as I thought, but not good either. Sort of falls in between, lacking in many ways. I think the most problematic flaw is that the process of killing critters and gathering loot is not fun. Maybe it's down to not enough diversity or clunky controls, can't tell for now...or it might be related to me playing the gunslinger.

As it stands, nothing to play this days, so I might as well play some more.

A n00b question so please don't eat me: Does this release (reloaded) interacts in any way with steam or is safe to install it.

After I read all the negative comments about the controls on the PC version I tried the 360 demo. I guess the controls are better, the game is still a boring piece of shit though.

Played the extended demo for a bit. First impression... meh.

It's decent for a console style arcade action game, but if you expected a deep character- or complex loot system or huge maps to explore you'll be disappointed.

It also doesn't strike me as a typical Obsidian game - it's neither very buggy nor particularly well written (so far). This could be called Torchlight 2 for all I know.

'lan' requires steam. It crashes because the cracked steamapi doesn't provide that functionality.

Civ V and Portal 2 both require Steam for Lan and they are both working, so I assume it's just a matter of time before DS3 is as well.

so.........level cap is 30?!?!?!

Is there a difference with difficulties (other than the difficulties of the enemies)?

Meaning, you we know if after beating on easy/normal, we can take our chars and import them into a harder difficulty LIKE ALL THE OTHER GOOD RPG'S?

Thanks!

Square Enix is the publisher, they had nothing to do with the game.

Is there a way to bring the camera into a lower angle, so you can see more of what is in front of you? The default views that are given, using controller, are too high in my opinion.

I know I am using a controller but this is a PC game right? Right? Oh I guess not then.

Different difficulties = Different loot quality?

Beat the game on Easy, and play the same exact character on a higher difficulty?

Things I must know but cannot find an answer to on official forums.

it worked that way in the previous games but who knows for this one..? EDIT: yeh that does suck..

My first impressions weren't so bad as they were pretty much at rock bottom before I fired this one up anyway. Finding it better then Daggerdale (which wasn't difficult), they still kept the loots in this game but no options to rebind keys really sucks as is the console hud interfaces. I'd rather like to play this in multiplayer though. Lots of locked off passages and doors on first run through which just beg to be explored in mp; if this is at all reminiscent of the previous games. (..if it's not DLC)

In face of stronger competition this game is a bit sucky, the look and feel of it all reeks of a console port and massive huds which may look fine on a telly just make my eyes bleed on a monitor. However it's quite playable still I found.

Has anyone actually managed to get the "gamepad support" option to stick? I steadfastly REFUSE to touch this game with the broken keyboard/mouse controls... but the gamepad option in the menu won't enable. Tick it, apply, nothing... goes back to being unticked again. It worked perfectly in the demo Sad

I played with the M&K, played around ... 2.5 hours, I'd say, and there's nothing good about this game. Few skills, no real choices to make, atrocious writing, very zoomed in camera. Not only Obsidian's worst, but ... it's so bad, I didn't even see it coming from Obsidian.

No matter, unlike BioWhores, I'm willing to let this go for them, it's only strike one.

config.ini and engine.ini (from the DS3 folder)
user.ini (from My Docs\My Games\Dungeon Siege III)

Thanks. I've tried everything and I just cannot get the gamepad option enabled, despite it working fine in the demo.

~edit~

NVM! I quit, restarted, still didn't work. quit, restarted, still didn't work. quit, restarted, it works! >_>
