Strange.. I double click on the exe and nothing happens ??? The game shows me the June 1 pop up and after a black screen it just comes back to the desktop.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Did you copy the modified files over?
(Steam_api.dll and those other skidrow files, it's technically the Duke Forever crack so that might be one reason the game acts up at times depending on what functionality that Steam_Api.dll actually serves.)

Yep, this feels like a proper F.E.A.R game at least action/gunplay wise, also with the frantic music. Let's hope we get the trademark chills as well. As I said graphics don't impress me, but they don't bother me either. I kinda like the art-style. But you're right that after watching those awful trailers the visuals in this game can be sort of a relief.

I didn't know that, I'll have to look that up.
EDIT: Nothing in the Steam files that I can see for a demo but it could use a separate application ID after all, no announcements or other larger announcements either aside from some E3 2010 demo(nstration) show of the game.
Perhaps it's console only?

Right that screen, I was looking at a Fear3 demo, sorry about that, still a bit tired I think, sorry again.
(I do have a pretty poor memory as well but I should have thought about that still.)
EDIT: But is it really? maybe it's a press demonstration or similar, I'm not thinking properly I guess.
(I really wish more detailed info was obtainable but that's impossible of course, still you are most likely correct in what you said and what that image shows that there will be a actual demo released.)

Well if it's the same source (But I would have no idea other than both being Steam titles but that likely changes very little.) they'll obviously do their best to fix it now (Hypothetically if it would be they could just check both titles to see the matching sent addresses or what to call it after all.) as to avoid it from happening again, would be problematic for other companies and Valve itself otherwise wouldn't it?
(What I wrote about is obviously incorrect and unintended, it doesn't quite work that way in this modern game industry after all as it's calculated as a loss or so I assume, probably not too incorrect however.)

Omg this game will share the place with duke for the fail of the year. The game can't be more consolised than that.But thats not surprice for me. I knew it will be total fail for pc right after i heard the developer....I hope final version will be much better than this but i seriously doubt it.

good to hear your good words about the game after all the negative review's according the trailers, i hoped it will be at least ok and looks like it is even better:)

holy shit controls feel awkward as hell
graphics aren't bad, and i've played about 10 minutes and come across alot of bugs like:
- notifications on "press x to do something", are just wrong, the wrong button and the wrong action was shown
- difficulty level remained the same after i reduced it, only after i restarted the game did it actually work (so did the notifications)
the control are just bad, things ran really well and fluently in FEAR, kicking and shit wasn't this messed up

Well the controls suck, mouse feels weird, and the move bob feels like the game is stuttering although it's stuck at 60fps. Stupid health regen and bloody screen just fills me with RAGE!!!
Another console piece of shit.

guys, do you have problems with the saves?
after i save 2 times it tells me memory full and i have to start from the beginning over again.
any thing to do?
btw, i played only few mins, and i like it and as pey said gunfights are cool and bullet time still here and i can't omplain about the gfx so far.

If you die many times, your health will stop regenerating and apparently, difficulty rises.
I mean, shit, I died once, t'was okay, started dying in the same place, thenmy health stopped regenerating and then the dude with the shotgun took two mags to be put down. Wtf?
