The type of videos that open with windows media player but on the site.. Usually I just click File Save Page As etc and it saves the videos into a folder...
What software is best for ripping videos from web pages?
Just by the way,
if u don't want to download a new program there is an easy way to get a vid off a website
using the first link given above, I'll give an example:
go into the site, were it reads Windows Media Player for 300K right click and Save Target As...
then open with any text editor (I use "word pad") scroll to around the end of the file and find the vid's address (where its usually found), in most cases it ends in .wmv, .asx, .asf .avi, in this case it's mms://windows.streamuk.com/dyson/jd_lan.wmv (keep in mind this post is old so the link is broken, but it'll work on almost any other site)
Now copy and paste the address in ur web browser and press go.
now the vid will open in ur default media player instead of on the web site (mine's Windows MP). now select File, Save As... and u can take it from there.
also some sites have their files numbered (vid_25.wmv, vid_26.wmv ...) so just incase the vid u wanted to see has already been out-dated there's a chance u can still see it, just back track (vid_14.wmv) most sites still have the old files there, but just aren't using them, so try it.
use the address of an active vid and just replace the part that would fit.
ex.
(http://www.example.com/vid_55.avi) (http://www.example.com/vid_21.avi)
