The only scratches you can't fix, are those ontop of the layers of the disc. Scratches on the plastic are fixable. Just look it up on youtube.

You open up your browser. Go to www.youtube.com and search for it. Example: How to fix a scratched DVD / Disc / Blue-Ray ?! |
This sounds much too complicated, could you break it down even further?

Then again I heard that more than 5 yrs ago when I was using CD/DVD's... I don't even have a DVD-ROM in my PC

dont be stupid with the toothpaste and peanut butter omfg lol's...
i send mine to skippy disk http://www.skippydiscs.com/
in uk this cost me like £2 and they fixed a xbox disc like it was new, u can do this like 30 times or so until the disc can't be skimmed ever again.. it came back like new, and then they didnt even cash the cheque in i sent with it. So it was done free..
highly reco them, they use some fine ass machines for disc scratches or even more nasty issues...
oh bonus is speaking to them direct, they have some nice sexy voiced irish girls on the phones..

Yo dog I herd if you take a paint brush, soak it with water and push it in the DVD drive to clean the laser assembly works wonders, and it can then read little scratches. Make sure to have the PC running so the head moves in and out and cleans properly. BTW, this should work for all optical drives, including Xbox 360 and PS3.
