I have to say, in co-op mode, this is one of the best games i've played all year. Playing as Fettel in particular is insane levels of win.

SP was ok too, but without the scares of the original game, it's more like a horror-based cod. Nah, co-op is where it's at people.

The guys did an Awesome remake of the original FEAR. It's quite short, but it's free and genuinely scary Smile

Just updated. Better support for Widescreen monitors, and a config file that can be edited for wider FOV and for reducing or disabling Motion blur. Smile

Just finished it *yawn*

Worst FEAR ever... 6/10 just because the shooting mechanics are quite solid and responsive.

Unfortunately the rest is completely forgettable, from the ""story"" to the (nonexistent) atmosphere, not to mention the bland levels, unimpressive graphics and very uninspired map design.

I liked the game more than the 2nd FEAR, it was much more fun to play and more interesting on its own, but I agree, as a FEAR game it was the worst.

Anyone with framerate issues after update? Drops there and there, and this only after the update (dx9 force/motionblur off?/fov 85)

No, it runs perfect in DX11 with motion blur off and FOV 85 (Ahh, sweet proper FOV) Smile

Haven't had a reason to try DX9, but the microstutters are gone.

Issues addressed in this version:
* Stuttering and jerky movement at frame rates above 30 fps is fixed!
* Steam voice communication "push-to-talk" option is now fully supported.
* 4-player voice chat should no longer have audio drop-outs.
* A rare bug that would cause enemies to stop spawning in Contractions is now fixed.
* The game will now prefer Steam cloud storage over local file system storage.
* Network connection reliability has been improved.
* Support for wider than 16x9 aspect ratio displays has been added to support users with non-standard display devices and spanned multi-monitor displays like AMD Eyefinity and NVIDIA Surround.
* An "options.cfg" file has been added to the F.E.A.R. 3 install directory for advanced user customization and troubleshooting. Included in this file are options to extend the FOV on narrow aspect ratio displays, reduce or remove motion blur, and to override driver-default settings for full-screen refresh rate, overscan, letterboxing, etc.
