The console looks really ugly and cheap, i can't believe they come up with something like this. I'm curious how their other design studies looked if this is their best one. Compare this to modern barebone cases, my barebone in the living room makes this design look like some 5$ chinese toy they sell on the flea market. Even my old Atari VCS2600 looks better (yes and it is still working)

who in the hell cares what the system looks like, what it can do will be the main ordeal. i look at my ps2 and everyday i think to myself, this is one plain design. theres nothing going on with it, its just black with a simple design. personally i dont care about a systems design. if i did, i wouldnt have gotten a gamecube. the second i hit the power button, the systems look isnt important. its just eyecandy to the people waiting to get there turn.

You miss the point completley whackawookie.
The point is, when the system is not in use, it stands there and then it needs to fit like all the rest of the stuff in the room, like the furnitures, the electronics etc etc.
If it doesn't the room will look like complete garbage. Maybe it doesn't mather much in your own room if your living at home since it's not a room everyone will see all the time, but it sure as hell mathers if you have it set up in a living room, atleast at my place, I do not want my home to look like a junk yard with stuff that doesn't fit Smile

And believe it or not, but most people do care how their homes look Wink

I didn't say this because it shouldn't matter, but I personally think a curved and sleek design like that is a lot better than a big black box with wires sticking out the front. but hey, it's all opinion isn't it.

No i think he gets the point just fine.. if by getting the point you mean that he (and all of the rest of us) realises just how anal you're being about the way the console looks simply because you're an xbox hater. Now move on..we really don't give a shit about how you want your living space to look and how this won't fit in. If you hate it that much..don't buy it Wink

i agree RMFX. So what if it's ugly? in a few years (20) people will think its good. I like it although im not a fan of uprights like this i'm sure it can be laid flat. fits in with the furniture? fuck off, so ur saying u only by a stereo / dvd player / whatever only if it fits in with your decor and regardless of the features? don't be stupid, sure if there were 2 of the same in 2 colours u'll go with the 1 that matches but when one is far superior to the other there's no way u'll take the crap 1.

Me being a xbox hater? Haha.
If you have seen my post on this forum you would know that I'm not a xbox or any consoler hater, so really, that was the stupidiest comment I have seen in quite a while. Me a console hater..hahaha..... Laughing
Hell, the xbox looks alot better than this, it's too big but it has a nice design.

I'm obviously not alone thinking that the design is important either Wink

Uhh, just because someone hates a simple design of a console, doesnt mean their a XBox hater. For as long as I've known Pallebrun on here, hes prolly one of the few people who arent a fanboy. Aye, and we really dont give a shit on what someone implys the wrong way about what someone wrote about on here. Rolling Eyes

You know, for a guy like Pallebrun to own all 3 of the major console systems, and play the games, I wouldnt call him a hater.

What does suck is their probably going to still charge everyone to play on XBox Live. Wish the online part was free. Oh, and the simple it doesnt cost much lines dont do it. Laughing

But fair enough, lets wait and see what the system specs are, and how much thought was put into the system. After all, we will be seeing this first before the PS3.

I do? I didn't know that my taste was based on what YOU think Laughing
I love people that try to be smart but in the end, fail completley Wink

Painting it would help alittle, and that's what I will do if I buy it, and if I buy it depends on the games of course.

so what episode of queer eye for the straight guy are u on? listen, before ps2 the ps1 was grey, sony changed the color to black. my living room is full of mitchmatching items, infact i dont match when i dress. its the mystery of man that we just dont care. i guess u got dealt a bad hand in life if fashion or living room settings are holding u back from system admiration.
besides the fact that there has been leaked images that proves the system has changeable skins, it doesnt change the fact that the system is going to be mind boggling.

i'm thinking of building a shrine for my consoles in my living room ... u know spotlights and that sort of thing ...maybe a big red arrow pointing towards it hanging from the ceiling, in case the neighbours popping round for coffee fail to notice it

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

Hahaha.
You are living in the past, men do care these days for things like this, well not all, but many Smile
Both my girl and I wants a nice looking home, I dont see why having a nice looking home is weird in your heads...................
And I really dont understand why I shuld have to defend myself for caring about how things look, or be called a hater. Why shuld you guys care what I think? Laughing
It's not like I whine at you guys for living in junk yards, right? Razz
It's funny how a discussion can take such weird turns Laughing

To stay ontopic alittle. Very Happy
