I especially like the part where she says "Nah ... nah" when something cannot be combined with other something. Very Happy

I think I got myself stuck, at least it seems that way.

You get a sort of membrane and battery not too far into the game and though it tells you to combine these to boost the power on a certain device I assume you have to try without the battery and then when it fails insert the battery afterwards, resorted to using spacebar to highlight everything and then tested every item on every other item or location. Interesting, I was certain I had checked every location several times but as the "hotspot" icon shows they're pretty tiny.
(As a example finding that hole where I was to insert a probe wasn't exactly easy without sweeping the mouse over the entire area trying to notice any changes.)

You didn't have to pixel-hunt every bit of the debris, you had to pay a little more attention to what Delvin (or what was the name of the techinician) and Fay were saying about the plasma gun and the probe itself. Wink

Yeah, that's what gave me the idea too:

As far as the puzzles go, the game is pretty solid. Not trivially easy, but I never got stuck either. My problem so far is with the story/dialogue, which I find very ... simple for something, that's tackling an issue like this. It often feels like a cartoon made for kids.

i played this yesterday for a mind-numbing 7 minutes out of boredom. i don't like mouse click adventure games but thought this one would change my mind. boy, was i wrong. Sad

first off, what's with the comic panel cinematics? if i wanted to read a comic, i would read a comic or watch ang lee's crap-fest hulk movie. it's annoying and crude in a game. Crying or Very sad

while it supports 2560x1600, it doesn't support widescreen correctly. there is a black vertical bar on either side of the screen. which frustrates you to no end and distracts from the little action that goes on in the main view. Mad

of course, no xb360 pad support so you have to click your way to getting early arthritis. Twisted Evil

i managed to tie a knot of the torn belt but it came undone once i turned on the fogger. i found some liquid and poured on the gears but does nothing. really stupid pixel hunting mechanic like in any other mouse click games. why can't i just urinate on the dang machine? there is no free will in these types of games. Rolling Eyes

anyway, i was not entertain one bit in my 7 minutes of play. this sucker is going to uninstall land. Very Happy

Oh I do listen to dialogue and conversations since I'm very focused on game story and such (Or rather I always try to but I sometimes accidentally click the mouse though and it easily skips one or two lines, happens all the time no matter which game unfortunately.) but I was mainly testing against his suitcase to force the lock and get a actual red filter/lens. Razz
(Doing it yourself was to me not even thought off since the precision required - as he talks about with the laser set-up he uses - would be impossible with such crude tools.)

Trying to force a vending machine now for instant-chicken, I'll solve it shortly.
(Not exactly instant chicken but that's how I've understood the results will be if I acquire what I need from it.)

EDIT: I suppose one fault is that I keep associating the game as Dig 2 nearly, plays extremely similar but in a different setting obviously and studio behind it.

Yep, just finished it and it was a damn good adventure game. Really liked the drawing style and approach. There were some inconsistencies with some of the object and persons' interactions, but, all in all, it was a fantastic little game. Very Happy

Hell yes it was. The Dig, Full Throttle, any of those types. Loved those games. This one is enjoyable if you can get past the laughable dialog (which I suspect is largely due to the language translation to english) and the weak (at times) voice acting Smile

A great ride it was, a very charming adventure game Very Happy eco-friendly as well. Not sure about the red skip-puzzle button, I simply skipped the hard ones I couldn't solve.

Maybe it lacked some effort on my part, I blame the awesome button Very Happy the bomb disarming, looking threw the binoculars and when you're supposed to figure out which doors to open and there was some bridge that wouldn't go up.

should i play this game in english or german? i understand both perfectly but i often tend to play games in the language of the original devs/writers. like in the case of deponia the german voices arent as annoying.

but i read on the steam forums for the final cut there previous games had some gamebreaking bugs , does the final cut fix these? i currently have german edition backed up with a patch that wasnt ever properly cracked but some mini image i got from GCW did the trick.
