Dice, Epic etc have now started focusing on PC development because they want to have DX11 tech, ready for the release of Xbox III.
EA plans to use Frostbite for a lot of internal projects (other than Battlefield, it's used in MoH, NFS: The Run, Mirror's Edge 2 (maybe..) and who knows what else) and Epic doesn't want to lose their leadership in engine licensing so it makes sense for both of them to spend $$$ on PC focused R&D.
Once Xbox III is released expect Epic to make Gears of War 4 exclusive to it and not give a single fuck about PC gaming.

It used to be good, Epic Pinball, Jazz Jackrabbit, Age of Wonders and Jill of the Jungle. They suck today though.

The worst thing is, Gears of Bore actually copied the idea from an infinitely better game; Kill.Switch from Namco. Kill.Switch is the first game I can honestly remember that had this style of cover mechanics. It was fresh, original, fun! Then.... suddenly.... not so fun... every other fucker and his dog were copying it.

It may sound curious, but Gears of War (and all its sequels, don't know how many of them there are) never got my attention in the least not even to try it myself (I got to watch people playing it though). The first idea that came to my mind when I first saw it was "HUGE CLICHE".

hey, ANY game, that has an assault gun with a chainsaw attached IS GOOD! PERIOD! 
i liked the first game (although there are better ones out there and it was kinda boring at times), but i feel kinda disenfranchised by the fact, that they didnt release the next on PC as well. Fuckem. Fuckem hard. With a chainsaw attached to an assault rifle!

I was just reading the gametrailers forums for a bit.
My head hurts .. Apparently PC gaming is dying because there are only two Developers still making PC games (Blizzard + Valve) ... and there are no other PC devs in the world
There are threads full of people with regards to steam saying "So you don't actually own the games...? Wow"

Thats bullshit, I have bought every Epic game that I liked. If I didn't like the game, sure I may pirate it and demo it, but I wouldn't even be buying it in the first place. So there is no potential loss for them.
Anyone only has to look at the console scene nowadays to see that most new releases are leaked and come out first on them. Like Epic don't already know that...
Theres far more piracy going on with consoles then with the PC nowadays. The only difference is there are far far far more console gamers then pc gamers.
Even if every pc gamer were not to pirate Epics next game, i'm sure the total sales figures would still not even come close to the console sales even with every Tom, Dick and Harry blagging it over the internet for their box or ps3.
The console user base is simply just much larger then the pc user base. Piracy is just an excuse for Epic not to invest in the PC because it's not profitable for them.
Epic suck hard for laying the blame on the PC gamers.

I actually agree with him, UT99 and UT2004 are both every bit as awesome as each other.
