Yeah, 52 is alot lol , Ill try disable some of them with the services.msc hopefully should start booting up quicker, But ive just looked at my taskmanger now its 46 processes Svchost.exe is one of the highest on my list and its running like 6times :S

I have 54 on my work lappy (most of which are "security" stuff) and I see no performance issues. You have to look after your PC's, defrag after uninstalls and mass deleting, make sure the apps you install aint filled with crap..

I tryed defraging C: Keeps compaining that the disk is ready for a scan
and to type chkdisk /f or something like that , when i do that it just says the disk is locked ,
Also is there any good apps to find out about a wi-fi connection?
The windows one is not very useful....

that's because windows is using the disk
right click on your C: drive/select properties/ select the 2nd tab extra/
first option check disk/ now you get a screen where you can check 2 things, do that and press scan.
You get a message that states to do the scan after reboot.
press yes or ok and reboot.
its the same as chkdsk /f < that only works if your not in a windows enviroment. so before booting that means

Ok , Windows Runs CHKDSK when i restarted , But when i try and defrag i still get the same message , 'Windows Has Detected CHKDSK Is Scheduled to run on windows' , But its already done it? So why do i keep getting this message :S
