Careful with that cable mate, apparently it doesn't work on Win7 and you might also need the actual transfer software as well. Thanks for the guide though! <3
~edit~
Doh, never mind. I see xPort deals with that =)

i don't see why you would buy such a cable. If you are planning to buy a JTAG, i think you will get a better HDD anyway. And remember that JTAG can work with ANY 2.5" hdd, even if it's WD or smthg like that, since the check for HDD is removed.
So what I did (and what you should probably ) is just opening the hdd case, removing the hdd, replacing it with a bigger one, then xbox will ask to format it. Then, just burn on a CDRW or DVDRW or whatever freestyle dash (in case your jtag is plain and has nothing installed, you can boot freestyle dash from a disc directly from the original MS dash), plug your old xbox hdd to your PC (it's SATA), use some hdd explorer and FTP all the datas to your new hdd.. Enjoy !

Yes, but if you do that - you don't get Partition2 and you lose Xbox-Classic playability. You have to go through a few other, clunky, steps first if you want to preserve Partition 2/Xbox-BC.

@cyclonefr
Yeah I plan on replacing the hdd with a bigger drive. I just feel it's easier to unplug the xbox hdd and connect it to the pc and copy games ect over that way.
Never got on with ftp on the ps3, always plugged in an external hdd to transfer files. Its got to be quicker hasn't it?

from what I tried, I get better results ftping with my ps3 rather than using my USB hdd.
But the same can't be said about the 360, i get terrible transfer rate (10MB/s vs 50MB/s on ps3) for some reason.
@sabin : IIRC there is a homebrew you run directly from the xbox and it creates the partition2 without formatting the HDD... I remember playing crash kart racing that way, and I don't remember keeping the original 20GB hdd

i mean i get that different speed ftping to the console, so it's probably due to the X360 ethernet chipset that sucks.
