Don't know what to tell you man, normally that kind of player doesn't go for the multiplayer component but wants an excellent singleplayer experience. I'm not sure about BF3 campaign being something more than the typical cod-ish interactive movie. But if you like that kidn of stuff then definitely go for it, in terms of technological features it might be superior to any other action mov... ehh game out there.

Err... you actually completely misunderstood his point. He is talking from his perspective, yes, but his point is that everybody who dislikes TF2 (like myself, for example) might now, that it is free to play, take a(nother) closer look. And that is a smart move from Valve, seeing as they probably didn't see any significant increase in TF2 sales anymore. They won't make any more money from TF2 itself but by selling worthless hats and stuff for inflated prices.

So I played the alpha for an hour. It's really good but someone else think that 3D spotting is retarded? I mean I am behind cover and 10 people still shooting at me for a few minutes

Yeah 3D Spotting can be very annoying in BC2. I understand that it's been nerfed in the alpha, and demize99 also said that it's still work in progress, so let's hope they tweak it even more for balance.

@repi I've been playing the Alpha, and I notice a lack of DX11 Tessellation, will Beta/Gold Release include Tessellation? @Wesley0008 @Demize99 our terrain tessellation wasnt in in AlphaTrial, but will be in for Beta/Final. mostly visible on large terrain levels @Wesley0008 the lod settings are all wrong in Alpha TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle." ya my gtx 285 with fan at 100% in most games will max out at 105C

it used to max out at 80C (iv had this card for 1.5yrs) but a couple months ago it started going up more n more and no matter how clean or what type or how much or little thermal compound I used it still maxes out at 105C in dx10 games.
