fisk - reading the reviews, mostly. It is not that I do not download games - on the contrary. But recently I did not find anything worth downloading, and this games looks really great and I think it's worthy of buying it. Got enough dead presidents for that Smile

No, it certainly does not work for everyone, that's already been established. Can we move on now?

Indeed it depends on Writer&Reader&Media.
if anybody who have succes full burned this post wich burner & wich reader, and media they used that would be handy.

everybody here that say it didn't work did you burn it on CD-RW ?
you have got the most chance that it works if ya burn it on Verbatium,Sony,or Tdk CD-RW.just use a verry good brand, not noname crap.

you can burn it but you cant read it on the aopen, you just get the disk key error.
i know since i got the 52x aopen + verbatim cdrw media. so your out of luck mate Smile

the media isnt that important actually, just get whatever brand and as long as its not some cheap ass noname it will do the job.
it all depends on your burner and your reader if it will work.

you cant load anything, the options are greyed out since your using the demo exe and demo dll (yes i know since i checked).

it worked in panzers because the developers missed it, a misstake by them.
im sure it wont happen again in any other game Smile

it's ironic that the developers spend $x million on implementing latest copy protection, but forget about the simplest of things.

Did this release work for anyone yet? (Preferably someone who got Panzers working too.)

highstuff wrote:

I don't think this is true. I think there's no difference between good brand and noname media. At least there was no difference for Panzers. I burned Panzers on a cheap Octron 4x-10x CDRW that I bought in a very cheap shop here in Germany (Lidl). And I know a lot of people got Panzers working with discs from another very cheap shop (Aldi). I guess it will be the same for Soldiers.

Well with all these issues that you have when you're running Panzers with the demo exe it's not really a solution.

you know dude, there are good nonames also, its the bad ones you shuld stay away from Wink
same with brands, there are bad brands and good brands, but the difference is, you know which brand is good and which is bad. kinda hard to know which noname is good Smile

and ofcourse its a solution, for the desperate one Wink

After all the negative feedback I think it's safe to say that the RagnaroK release does not work. Get the Anonymous-release (though I believe that is even less common).

I finally got my copy which I preordered! I was just wondering, do I need another cd-key in order to play cooperative multiplayer over my LAN or can I use the same one for multiple computers?

Thanks in advance

This settings worked great for me with Codename: Panzers an Soldiers Heroes of WW II:

Software: Alochol 120% v1.9.2.1705

Reading:
Drive: LG GSA-4082B A206
Datentype: StarForce 1/2/3
Reading Speed: 1X (150 KB/Sec)
DMP ....: 1X (150 KB/Sec)

Writing:
Drive: LG GSA-4082B A206
Recording Speed: 8X (1200 KB/Sec)
Writing Mode: DAO / SAO
[X] Buffer Underrun Technologie activation.
[ ] Don´t close last Session.
[ ] EFM error....
[X] Sub-Channel Data korrection.
[ ] Burn "RMPS" on Media.

Als Rohling habe ich wie auch schon bei Panzers einen Platinum CD-R 700 52x Speed

When i wanna play this games i have to insert the CD´s in my PHILIPS CDRW2412A Burner cause my bothe other burners wont start the Game.

Sorry for my crappy english Shocked

Okay, I have now tried this release too (on the same equipment that worked for the other release)

I burned using the instructions provided in the nfo (which is the same Neo provided here) - it burns fine, installs fine, it's when it gets to the CD-KEY check it fails (after about 2 minutes of CD-checking) - with the error: "Disc Key Error", "The Disc Key you entered does not correspond to the disc in the disc drive. Make sure you use the correct Disc Key."

And then asks for a new key.

This occurs when the burnt disc does not match the SF3-encryption check, and means that the disc is faulty (you cannot use the disc).

When I try the disc I burnt from the anon-release, it takes a very short while, and then the game starts.

My conclusion? This release does not work.
I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

yup same here
even tho i could not find 1 option mentioned in the nfo file for burning

could still be a burning thing tho
but it seems starforce 3 is more complicated then some people think lol

i think in order to crack it so a copy would work
you need to deal with that starforce library

i saw one crack out there which did not work either for me
