i discovered the reason why this release isn't working for many people. first of all dvd device must be recognized as USB 2.0 only NOT USB 1.1
1) remove starforce drivers (not sure this is required but better safe than sorry)
2) burn pizzhut release with RMPS emulation
3) activate RMPS emulation in Alcohol 120 options
4) reboot may be needed
5) physically unplug any IDE cd/dvd devices
6) delete the following registry key if it exists: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Splinter Cell Chaos Theory\Keys
7) run scct and enter the proper activation code
proper: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-7JMAW
in the nfo is the cd-key as: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-7JMAW7
that serial provided only works with an US dvd, which differs from the EMEA dvd and such require different set of activation codes.
if you can't or won't unplug IDE cd/dvd devices i've read that you can use StarForce Nightmare 1.12 and disable 'IDE channel 2'. unconfirmed though.
This way definately works im able to play splinter cell just fine on my computer with dvd usb
YOU can use the SFNightmare to Disable CD before you play, you dont have to unplug your cd roms... funny thing is it actually almost worked with my sata drive, so maybe its an ide issue.

Well i gave it up....
The freaking IDE to USB Cabel fragged my old and sexy LG GSA-4082B 2 weeks ago  Im just gave the Burner back to Store where i bought the Burner cause of the warrenty... Yesterdays i got my 120 Euros back that i payed 8 months ago for that Burner (LG was unable to Repair the Burner).... After that i bought the LG-GSA 4163B (70,00 Euro) + SCCT (45 EURO). Now i got waht i wanted and im still happy cause of my new Burner... SCCT is really sexy to but SF3 is pain in the ass

Ack, just finished this game. Was great fun, really enjoyed it, some of the levels were absolutely fantastic, like the bank and penthouse for example. I was really suprised you could be captured and interrogated!
I would rate it 90%. Only because some of the levels I didn't enjoy so much (seoul and the end of the bathhouse).
I can't fault the gameplay or graphics, although the plot was a bit uninvolving.
The only thing I would change about this game is to make it based around being a thief instead.

anyone tried Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory Crack *by HeKKiS*

What splintercell3.exe?
And can anyone tell me how to deactivate all CD and DVD Drives with Starforce Nightmare? Isnt it the option disable ch1 and ch2? Then i got a bluescreen....
