I didnt either.
Controls were interesting and unique, but that was about it, the game itself was just boring.

As of right now; Dolphin doesn't utilise quads fully, so you get better results with a more efficient - highly clocked - dual core. i5 or higher would be great, but even lower class procs are fine just as long as they're CLOCKED HIGHLY. 3.2Ghz+++++

i didnt realize that wii emulation works so good these days, i just got a new PC and i should give this a try. Can you use the mouse/keyboard for a reasonable good gaming experience? I guess its better to get the wiimote and stuff, but the pc update really burnt a hole in my pocket.

Yeah, the mouse works great as a replacement for the Wiimote -- and you can use a standard gamepad or any keyboard inputs to replace miscellaneous buttons.

I've been using wii emul for a while but i tend to play games that have the classic controller support like xenoblade with my 360 controller works well that way i could see M/Kb working but some games will give you trouble like a quick time event that uses two analog sticks not sure how that would work with a M/kb

Yeah Dolphin is amazing. I beat Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition w/ no issues. Aiming actually quite good with the mouse. And sadly, aiming in Dolphin works 300% better than trying to aim in Resident Evil 4 PC, which was a flaming POS. I also beat Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and aside from dropping down to 10fps in some areas, it was fine.

I just OC'ed my Q6600 from 2.4 to 3.2Ghz, hoping it will run Xenoblade decently. Confused

Like I said on the previous page, my E7200 (3.6Ghz) runs the JP version of Xenoblade at around 75-90% speed. That's 45-55fps out of 60. Not completely unplayable, but not exactly perfect either Sad

ive tried some games now, zelda twilight princess runs super smooth and looks really good but i still have to tweak the controls a little bit. I have a i7 2600k@4ghz and a 6850 ati. I hope xenoblade chronicles will run good too when it releases.

A Sandy i7 at 4Ghz should piss pretty much any and every game you throw at it, mate =) Want a test? Try these three;

Skies of Arcadia with DSP in LLE mode.
Resident Evil Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles.
F-Zero GX.

If you can run those three (well, four considering the two Chronicles games) then you'll have no trouble with Xenoblade. Especially not considering I get 45-55fps on my cruddy E7200 Very Happy

Err...latest Dolphin on i7 2600K
The Last Story - works very fast, but randomly freezes after some time = unplayable.
I think it will be the same for Xenoblade...

Wait, what? Why would it be the same for Xenoblade? Neutral Two entirely different games, from entirely different developers.

Murphy laws? The only two games, you do need Wii emulation for, will not work. All other crap will.
God bless my Wii with USB loader.

There are already youtube videos of people playing the nip version on dolphin, unless something magically changes when they localized it, I don't think we are going to run into any major problems.
