Apple has become a disgraceful commercial success if you ask me. Current pricing strategy ensures maximum profits and brand status. Apple is now a popular design brand in rich countries, while the non Western masses have to make do with cheaper Windows hardware

If you buy a Mac and install Linux on it is it then a PC or a Mac? 
Not to mention that you pay a premium for pc hardware incased in something that looks like it belongs in the bathroom.

You should call this the Apple hating hump or something. You truly are an odd bunch. I've never seen a group of people hating a computer brand, let alone an anti Apple club.
It's nice for a change though, as pretty much the rest of the world thinks Apple is cool or something. So... I think I'll get a new Macbook when it will finally get a thorough restyling.

Rest of the world thinks Apple products look good, but are too expensive. Which they are. Macs are like a Fiat fucking Panda stuffed into an Enzo's body. Looks cool, but you're overpaying.
And never seen a place where Apple gets a lot of flack? Again, you hang out with hipsters, douche bags and the sites they hang out on. On most tech sites you'll see plenty of hate for the disgusting lack of ethics Apple has and noone has ever said that a Mac is good value for money (because they're not).
We're not the odd bunch, you and the rest of the Apple fanatics are. You can't see the faults Apple has. None of us are saying the products are shit, we're saying they're not worth their price and that Apple as a company and Jobs as a person suck balls.

I'm sorry, but unlike you, I don't just make random statements based on thin air, because I do have a fucking clue about how many Macs are out there. There are nowhere near as many as you think; even on a relatively high-profile fashion magazine's website, I'm still only seeing about 40% visitors browsing from OS X (which in this website's case, amounts to about 33000 monthly). And the whole "creative" group of people are the ones buying Macs more than anyone else. On gaming websites OS X accounts for less than 1% of all visits; even on a website we built that targets rich and posh pricks it's between 5 and 10%.
I'm done trying to explain this to you though, you just keep living in your dream world where Macs are actually really popular. The rest of us, in the real world, will save 50% of our cash going for the "inferior" alternative.
Remember that post a while ago that Apple incites religious feelings in their users? You're the prime example of that. No fact can change your mind.
I'd be more successful convincing a fucking brick that he's really made of wood.

Apple being pawned. In regards to the market, there's this saying: be the first, be the smartest or cheat. In the smartphone segment apple was indeed the fastest to make a UI that even braindead people could navigate, but they lost the lead, because they weren't smart, now, they try to cheat.

What has this got to do with convincing me? I like Apple, it's my taste. Preference, opinion. Whatever you want to call it. My opinion is different than yours... because I am not you! Yes that's quite a shock
And why would you think your opinion is the "right one"? That's very original, that's what a lot of other people also think! About 6 billion of them.
I think I have the solution for this most bizarre incident of 2 different opinions. I could write just like some other guys in here. I fucking hate Apple and iMac, but I buy the hardware for just 1 reason: (insert reason). Continue ranting.

Well... dentist-o-phobia isn't impossible to beat. I did it by doing something "worse" and noticed that wasn't that bad at all. So henceforth a dental treatment seemed like a stroll in the park.

I like Apple too, I own and use a MacBook Pro 13.3" w/ i5 6GB and 320GIG RAM. It's a really nice machine that I use for work.
At home I'd never want a Mac tho, just too limited in the software dept. (But better than Linux)
