Hehe yeah the controller looks really bad, I wonder how they could screw that up so bad.
But do not be afraid, there will, without a doubt, be third party controllers that will be more like the older ones, I'm sure of that.
Maybe we can even use our old gamepads? We could use the ps1 gamepad in the ps2, only a few games demand a ps2 gamepad.

am i the only one that likes the controller? too bad they using triangle, O, X, square again. those alien symbols would be perfect for the PS3's (controller)

ive never seen graphics like Killzones, i didnt expect to be as excited by the PS3 but those movies have me shaking in expectation

ok should let you know GTA is no longer a Exclusive to the playstation..
The only deal rockstar has with sony is that gta is to be only available for the playstaion for a limited time... but after that time they can release it for other systems

It's difficult to tell alot of the time if the videos are renders or not, unless they show the video from a gameplay perspective. In that sense killzone really looks fantastic.

I hope they're wireless, then they would make a handsome boomerang  The controller design is novel, but no one can judge it's quality since you haven't used it  I'm sure it will be ergonomic; after all Sony has developed the original controller, why would they screw up this one  ?

that ign report isnt a fact anyway, its typical ign hype and speculation,
regarding the explosion effects i d say that was indeed gameplay,
as they werent as impressive as the rest.
and yes the getaway 3 vid was amazing too, in a few scenes you really cant say if its real or a game.
i ll wait for the developers to confirm whats fmv and waht not, before taking ign's word on that.

The comment was not "OMG, this is the end... PS3 is defunct".
Just that I was riding on a high of hype and expectations from watching the videos and seeing the pictures and to have doubt cast over the very things I was getting excited over has 'killed' that euphoric feeling.
It'll return as concrete details and proper videos and screenshots appear, but until then I think I'll be a little more reserved.
BTW - some of the grabs of the Getaway3, it says on the bottom Sony Screen Test. If that means anything?

Some nice footage in there  The previous Getaways weren't that much fun to play, and Sony was showing that game off in 2000 at the PS2's launch  Let's hope history won't repeat itself and that the third version will have good gameplay
I'm going to stop looking at those next-gen games now, my GameCube is starting to look pathetic
