I read it fine, thank you. Nowhere did it say "This is the American copy and doesn't come with the content we're forcing you to pay extra for" The UK AE comes with everything, which is why it comes at a price premium. You think I WANTED to pay €40 for less content?

Gamersgate would have been cheaper but one of the reasons I hesitated to use a digital purchase for this was the description that (all?) the online stores I checked for differed from the retail offering and since one can also get some "nordic" edition with only the in-game content for nearly the same price as the base edition I saw it as simpler though it means skipping any possible preloads and early unlocks.
(I bought the Aug edition just to be clear, full CE is a bit too much but I liked the beta so I decided to support them a bit or how to say it, not that extra content have that much of a influence but the boxed extras are a nice plus as is the in-game stuff though to a lesser degree.)
I didn't use any of the "bonus" shit in the leak anyway. Hell, I didn't used an AUD until I was quite a ways through and had four (I think) of them already. Is there anything from the bonus content that you can't find/buy on your own in the game?

It's not the issue with the regions, but with the digital vs retail versions in this case. The digital versions don't include the bonus missions and items in any region. That was the only thing that made me hesitate to go digital, but then I figured I can live without those items anyway. You still get other bonus content though.
In any case, it was right there in the description on Steam (and should be on other digital distributors as well)... can't really blame someone else for not reading it. Not that I approve of not making the content available for digital editions in the first place.

Wasn't really trying to present it in such a way. I was just saying this was a result of a an unfortunate mistake, not someone intentionally trying to screw you over.

With that said, I haven't seen what GMG had as a description on their store. If this bonus content was listed there, then yeah, you could say you were duped. It would be simply a mistake on their part then, but such mistakes shouldn't be allowed to happen.
