Very realistic. Even comes with endless hordes of spawning black people to run over.

On a serious note, GPLegends.

Pitstop 2

Formula 1 2010 had nice graphics and played fun.

A modded rFactor would be the best choice imo, there's an incredible number of F1 mods + additional circuits available, easy to install and online-ready.

The most recent ones are the LMT mod 2010, RFT 2010 and MMG 2009, take a look here http://www.rfactorcentral.com/

Get a driver's license and a car. Seriously, you cannot go more realistic than that.
If for some reason you cannot do this, play Shift 2. Not hardcore realism, but very balanced between fun and realism. Also great car selection, including GT1 and GT3 cars.

Need for Speed Shift 1.
Shift 2 isn't recommended, especially now with the latest patch which introduced very many CTDs, and overall controls not as good.

Sadly realistic F1 games on PC do not exist anymore (except for the rFactor mods that I mentioned before). The good old Geoff Crammond has left the scene, and EA no longer have the rights to publish a licensed F1 game: there's Codemaster's F1 2010, but it's absolutely NOT a simulator.

Another good option would be Ferrari Virtual Academy: http://www.ferrarivirtualacademy.com/game/en/index.jsp (rFactor mods are better though, imo).

some of the nascar games are not nad , but i think that you must test the games people mention a specialy lfs, rfactor, nfs shift (i like the first but test the second too) and gtr2 and decide youself cause you are the only one to choose;)
also , if you have something like g27 or similar, you may have alot of fun with dirt 2 and 3 , alsmost every game that supports this wheel is cool to play (some got better support and some less, but still)
me, i like to play need for speed pro street with the g27, i am inlove with the "perfect shift" races:) so...you must try and decide:)
good luck.
