i really doubt they would go through the trouble of distributing dlc-only items around the gameworld
that would probably mean an all new QA pass with and without the dlc
also, the AUD was balanced within the gameworld.. it would be plain retarded to leave it out entirely (they were rare)
also i think there was a mention of the silenced sniper rifle being in the detroit hub by an NPC somewhere but i didn't bother try finding it (like i avoided a lot of things, saving for the final version)

So, is it possible for us Europeans to the the game from legal channels (shops) the 23rd, or do we have to wait until the 26th?
Can you use a proxy with Steam?

hmm... i wonder if i can still do my usual... log on using a us VPN, unlock the game and stick steam into offline mode til friday and the game officially unlocks here in the UK- as i dont see a cd key bit in the steam games page

I believe the silenced sniper rifle could be found in a vent on top of the abandoned petrol station. No idea if that means it will be there in the non-aug final release though.

Nope, I remember it was the normal, semi-automatic sniper rifle.

itll let ya log on for free for 7 mins at a time... enough time to unlock, trust me- thats the one i normally use to unlock games earlier than UK release

for unlocking a game... no... abusing that system to buy games from cheaper regions than your own... yes.. i have used VPN to unlock LOADS of games early, literally about 20 or so, loads of people do it and steam doesnt seem to mind, you have already PAID for the game, so its kinda strange for them to ban you for something like this....
