Seems like a good idea... do you use this method frequently?

Dumb question... how do you go into offline mode? Block Steam in Windows Firewall?

Switch off your internet connection, start steam, start in offline mode, resume internet connection.
Steam doesn't connect to the net unless you restart it.
EDIT: or that up above.

I've never done it before, but if I can find something that works; you're damn right I am! This wait is killing me enough as it is |

Been kicking myself all weekend thinking I should have asked for a day off on Tuesday, seeing as I'm working a holiday tomorrow...

I preordered the CE from a brick and mortar store back in june. I don't like being 'cheated' out of anything which is what I'd feel like if I didn't get "everything" such as the bonus mission with Tracer Tong, and you don't get that on steam. It's unfortunate else I could try the game on tuesday instead of friday.

Yeah Valve aren't stupid. Odds are he did something dodgy probably fraud related and wanted to get a bad word in somehow. I mean heck he mentions a federal court case against him. Fraud wouldn't surprise me.

the whole vpn thing is a bit dodgy if you ask me, especially with the new steam guard protection.
I wouldnt risk my account (currently worth over 2 grand! jesus) just to get a game a bit earlier.
if I want it on the us date (or shortly after) ill just get the iso demo.
